Title: Accuracy
Review: This angel finder is very accurate. Works well for milling when all I need is +or- 1/4 degree. Makes setup time faster. But magnet is only I one side.

Title: Precise and easy to use
Review: Woodworking projects like furniture and picture frames require accurate setup to avoid gaps and misalignment. I normally use a machinist’s square and some home-made fixtures with a dial indicator to set table saw blades or miter guides, and this digital angle finder adds much more precision for those tasks. This Huepar Pro angle finder has a bright, easy-to-read display with nine illuminated icons that make it intuitive to use. A moving half circle under the numerical indicator shows tilt in each direction, and an “inclination” icon indicates position relative to a reference surface such as the top of a table saw. The manual describes the function of each icon so the user can refer to the ones needed. A buzzer which sounds when the tool is very close to the desired position can be turned on or off. An “error” message appears when tilted too far backwards, but in normal use that should not be an issue The tool automatically shuts off after three minutes to preserve battery life. A battery with the screwdriver to install it are included, along with a nice pouch which can be fastened to your belt. The four control buttons are on/off and buzzer control, unit selection, zero (for positioning to a reference surface}, and a hold button to preserve a measurement. The unit (mode) selection allows a 90- or 180-degree measurement range, and you can select degrees, inches, millimeters, or inclination percentage. The zero preset function clears when the tool is turned off, returning to the factory level setting. There is a very strong magnet in the base which holds the angle finder firmly to any ferrous metal, and there is a v-groove on all four sides to allow positioning on rounded or curved surfaces.I used the tool to verify that my table saw was level and used that reference to check perpendicularity of the saw blade and accuracy of the blade tilt indicator. This allowed me to fine-tune all adjustments, ensuring accurate cuts. I also used it to adjust the miter guide on the saw by setting the gauge at zero on the face and checking that the guide shaft was exactly adjusted to 90 degrees. I look forward to using it on other tools such as my bandsaw, miter saw, and drill press.A friend has a similar gauge with magnets on the base and sides, but personally I think the magnetic base on this tool is fine for everything I do. This angle finder is thoughtfully designed and easy to use, and I am delighted with it.

Title: Handy digital precision angle finder!
Review: I collect unusual tools, and recently ordered a “manual” digital angle finder, but when I saw this high precision digital angle finder, I knew I needed to order it. Here are my thoughts.Pros:- Compact, and comes with everything you need. This device fits easily in the palm of one hand, and comes in a convenient nylon case with a belt loop. The kit includes batteries and a small screwdriver to open the battery door.- I love the precision of this device. It shows angles in hundredths of a degree which is precise enough for all but the absolutely finickiest use case.- The device comes with several modes including degrees from level, percentage from level, mm/m (slope in Metric) and in/ft (slope in Imperial). In addition, the device can be set into either 90 degree mode, or 180 degree mode.- The display is bright, clear, and gives you several visual indications to easily tell the status of the surface your are measuring including a visual “water level” guide and a “surface high or low” indicator in addition to the digital degree readout.- The bottom surface is magnetic and has and centering indent for a so it can be mounted quickly “hands-free” on a metallic surface like sheet metal or iron pipe.- The device auto orients the display to be more easily readable once you cross about 100 degrees from level. This means you can use the magnetic surface on the side, or the top depending on the most convenient situation.Cons:- This isn’t really a negative as much as it is common sense, but you must pay close attention to the orientation of the device in relation to the surface you wish to measure. The face of the device must be square to the face of the surface you wish to measure for a “side-to-side” 2D angle (x-axis) If knowing the “side-to-side” (x-axis) angle AND “front-to-back” (y-axis) angle is important, you have to take two separate measurements rotated 90 degrees when looking top-down at the device. Any significant deviation from square to the desired face will risk measuring something other than the desired plane. While this will absolutely feed my OCD when working on home projects, this is a great tool for anyone who spends a good amount of time checking for specific angles in their daily work. Plumbers and carpenters especially will appreciate the handy nature of this digital angle finder when installing long runs for drainage pipes, or slopes for roof angles, gables, etc. This is a great addition to any toolbox.

Title: Another Good Huepar Leveling Device
Review: This type of digital cube has been my primary device for setting angles on table and miter saws. You can spend all the money you want of expensive saw blades, but if the angle is not set right your joints may be off. Not many clients will return after paying good money for poor joinery. I have other Huepar products that have saved me tremendous amounts of time, primarily a self-leveling 360-degree laser level. So, when this became available, I ordered this immediately.I like this device, but not any more so than the one I have been using for the last decade. My old one has a solid aluminum case, magnets on 3 sides, and a 9-volt battery the seems to last for years. The Huepar has a none metal body that might be more likely to change shape or break in adverse situations. The Huepar has a few more bells and whistles than the old one, but most of these I do not use, e.g., scales other than degrees. It does, however, have a larger, clear digital readout that I like. I was worried that the larger size would be an issue attaching it to a 10” table saw blade (size is not an issue on the miter saw), but this was not the case. For me it is a simple process—place it on the table saw, turn it on, zero it out, attach it to the blade, and adjust the blade until you get the angle you want.Which is more accurate the old or the new? Not 100% sure but it may be the Huepar. There is a 3 tenths of a degree difference between the old and new. When I then compared the Huepar to a newer digital angle finder there was only 5 hundredths of a difference.
