Title: Small and comfortable.
Review: I’m quite happy with these ear plugs. They fit snugly, but not too tightly (which isn’t always the case with my small ears) and they don’t protrude very far, so they’re comfortable for side sleeping.

Title: Too small to handle comfortably
Review: While the sound muffling is good and the addition of multiple sizes of ear caps, there are some flaws that don’t work for me. The case, while being small for a tiny footprint in your travel bag or pocket, is hard for me to open and everything tends to jump out all over the place. The actual ear pieces are also small or thin rather. I have a difficult time pinching them out of my ears. Real frustrating for me. I wouldn’t buy for these reasons.

Title: About 35 db reduction, fantastic for sound sensitivity
Review: These earplugs are one of my favorite sets. I’ve tried probably 35+ earplug sets at this point, but I use them for sound sensitivity and not sleeping. These probably wouldn’t be that comfy to sleep in on your side. Still, it has an excellent reduction rating – it’s about on par with my 35 db set, which is unfortunate because this listing is set at 40 db. 35 db is really impressive and would have 5 stars if it were advertised correctly. (If it’s not reducing much for you, double check that they’re inserted correctly, these have a unique fit.) The current price of $10 is good and I would reorder if I lost these.

Title: Sleek, Functional, and Priced Correctly if Under $10
Review: I was looking for some nice ear plugs like this and I am definitely satisfied with them compared to many others out there.Being so lightweight you hardly notice wearing them while working or reading, which is what I got them for. So, on a normal day they’re very comfortable even over longer time wearing them.The design is somewhat counter-intuitive when it comes to sleeping with them. I don’t quite understand why somebody who make the design like this.The noise reduction is very nice and I can’t say anything bad in that regard.Given the exchangeable parts you get, you will easily find the right fit for your ears.And they even look pretty sleek and the case is not just convenient but looks minimalist and modern.The price is at the right level all things considered, which gives it the last piece to the puzzle to make this a 5-star product for me.It might not be 5 stars for people who want them for sleeping, as some other reviewers have pointed out. So, keep that in mind.

Title: Nowhere near 40dB, but they look nice.
Review: These are more discreet earplugs, but they do not work as well as expected for me. I tried all four sizes to be sure I was using the right one (it is easy to change sizes by twisting on the new cover). It does dampen the sound, but maybe in the 16-20dB range. It hardly made a difference at a loud basketball game.The second to smallest size fit comfortably for my kid, but it is so small I’m afraid she will push it too far in. Similarly, I would be afraid it would push farther in and will not try sleeping in them.

Title: They do cancel sound, but…
Review: I tried to like this pair of ear plugs designed for sleep, and while they do block out a good amount of sound, there are a few things worth mentioning. First off, they are effective at muffling noise, making them great for light sleepers or those who need to block out background sounds like snoring or traffic. However, there is a major drawback. These ear plugs are not comfortable if you sleep on your side. The shape of the tips, which are straight rather than round, creates pressure on the ears when lying on your side, and it can be painful after a while.If you’re someone who typically sleeps on your back, these ear plugs might work fine for you, but for side sleepers, they may not be the best option. I wish the tips were round, as that would make them more comfortable for different sleeping positions. Overall, while they’re good for noise reduction, they do come with some discomfort if you like to sleep in various positions.

Title: Nice Reusable Plugs at a Reasonable Price
Review: These ear plugs, with a plain but useful storage case and multiple silicone tip size options, are comfortable and fairly discreet. The slight curve allows them to be shifted down in a way that they’re not obviously sticking out, which is also helpful for trying to use them for sleeping. Sleeping with earplugs, particularly any rigid reusable style, can sometimes be uncomfortable when laying on one ear or the other. I can shift these down into the crease of my ear where they don’t create an uncomfortable pressure point though. I’ve had others that were good at this as well, but were then VERY difficult to remove unless they were very carefully positioned to make sure the removal tab was accessible. I have no problem like that with these. The silicone tips are easy for me to get good leverage to both rotate back out and grasp for quick removal, no panic or tweezers required.I’ve had other “passive” reusable plugs that have an opening to let sound in which is then attenuated by baffles and chambers. This helps for things like concerts or conversation since it reduces decibel level without overly muffling the sounds that I want to hear. These do have a “sound chamber”, though I’m not sure they do as good a job at reducing the sound without distorting it. That’s a trade off between reduction and distortion though, and at a claimed 40dB these seem to be opting more towards reduction. I’ll have to get a chance for a side by side comparison though.Speaking of 40dB reduction, that’s a pretty significant claim. Plain foam plugs are typically only 32dB, so this would be a considerable step up. I don’t notice that much reduction when just using them watching a video or listening to music in my living room though. It is possible the “sound chamber” is just doing a good job of attenuation, but I’ll have to try them in a higher noise environment to decide whether that full 40dB claim is inflated or not.
