Review: We bought several of these Ecobees for a commercial building and they are so great! The app makes it really simple to control and you can preset temperatures for multiple units on the same app. You can also set heat and cooling limits so they don’t cause utility bills to skyrocket. They are very easy to adjust the temperatures directly on the unit as well, unlike complicated programming of older thermostats where you need to read a manual to set everything after a power outage. Not these! Simple, sleek and modern!Most thermostats have color coded wiring in the wall, so observe when you are removing them from your old one. We had a much older rook unit and no color coding so we had to open up the panel of the hvac and see how the wires were connected to that board. Problem solved. Most are easier than that, but if you have any questions, call tech support or google it. Well worth it!

Review: Installation was extremely straightforward, especially if you label your wires beforehand. The initial setup of the thermostat is relatively simple, though it may take a little time to get familiar with the interface. I highly recommend using the mobile app — it’s far more intuitive and user-friendly than navigating the device directly.One added bonus in my area (TVA region) is a $65 rebate for installing a smart thermostat, which made the decision even easier.I’ve closely monitored its performance, especially during a month of extreme heat (heat index over 100°F), and the system has been rock solid. I set the temperature to 74°F, and it’s maintained consistently with less than a 0.4-degree variation.This unit came highly recommended by my HVAC technician — and now I’m happy to pass on that recommendation. Great product, dependable performance, and excellent value!

Title: Easy-to-Use Smart Thermostat – Great Google Nest Alternative, But Cover Plate Sold Separately
Review: Had to replace our old and outdated google nest and I wanted to ditch the google eco system. It was super easy to setup and was compatible with our AC. I really like that app and the different ways we can control the thermostat. Only thing im not so much of a fan of is the fact you have to purchase the cover plate separately, you would think they would include it since most old homes have large old thermostats.

Title: Great smart thermostat!!
Review: Absolutely love this smart thermostat! It was so easy to install, only took about 20 minutes. The instructions for the wiring were very straightforward, and the WiFi connected right away. The app interface is very user friendly even if you’re not very tech savvy. Love that I can set schedules and not have to think about adjusting the temperature when I am away. The large number front and center makes it easy to read from far away, which is a great bonus.

Title: Great HomeKit Compatible Replacement For My Old Nest Thermostat!
Review: Just finished installing my Ecobee Essential to replace a 10+ year old Nest, and so far I am very happy with it. It has a nice, modern look, i love the live weather-report on the screen and the install was very well explained using the app to guide me. Adding to my Apple HomeKit home was also quick and straightforward with no issues.The only negative (not worth subtracting a star) is that the screen is not quite as high-resolution as the Nest it replaced.. But its a thermostat, not a TV, and at 1/2 the cost, it’s more than good enough.
