Title: Works great tech support is fantastic
Review: WoW! These work great. I purchased a few sets of cheap OTC aids and didn’t like them much. Even if they were comfortable the strain on my hearing made them tiring to wear. Then I bought a set of midrange in the canal sets and they were painful after a few hours and I couldn’t tell the direction of a sound. Then I bought a set of Lively branded over the ear. They were GN Resounds repacked. They solved all the problems, spatial positioning, no pain, a bit tinny but I could live with that. 4 years have gone by and I was wearing them less due to the limits the audiologist programed during several zoom meetings. The sound was irrating to me. One died and 130.00 to replace the battery. So 260,00. Let’s look around.Sorry for the long story but it’s important to know that I am not just blowing sand. I have been around the block a few times.I saw these Elehear beyond units. They had the things I was looking for RIC. Reciever in ear. That’s not the poor hollow tube thingy. Multiple microphones. That allows spatial positioning. Recharging case. Batteries are nice, they can be replaced cheaply but battery doors are susceptible to breaking and some are expensive. In 3 to 5 years your going to throw this away and get new with newer technology. Can stream music and phone calls. ( Be aware that when streaming settings are not controlled by the aid but rather your Bluetooth phone). This is not bad but it did through me for a loop as my ears are quite different. I thought something was wrong until I realized I had to adjust the balance on the phone side. All in all technology surpassed my older ones and for 399 I had them the next day.The ear reciever wires were too short, but I played with them for a couple hours. I liked them. A lot!I contacted tech support via email on Saturday night. Explained I needed longer wires. On Monday morning they wrote me back asking for order number etc. they shipped me a new set, FedEx and I got them from China in a few days. I talked with support a few times and they always got back with me quickly. I believe support is in Minnesota. They are great and know the product we’ll. They explained some of the nuances, and now I have ears that with 20 volume steps can be the ” helping hand” or be tweaked to be able to hear a toothpick click on teeth 20 feet away. I love them.I haven’t played with the noise cancelling or the live translation of language yet. The noise cancelling should work above a certain threshold as that is std technology. I am not optimistic about the live translation. Trying it with a TV broadcast didn’t seem that great. It’s a gimmick and not worth removing a star for.Honestly, it will take several hours of playing with them and then you will never want to be without them. I heard crickets a few nights ago for the first time in years.

Title: The best OTC hearing aids I’ve tried – better than many legacy aids sold by auiologists
Review: I suddenly lost my hearing in my left ear in August 2019, eventually stabilizing at moderately impaired. At the time, I bought a single BTE-style ReSound hearing aid from my audiologist for $2,900. I was never satisfied with its fit or performance. It was frustrating and far overpriced as a “medical device.” In June 2025, a respiratory infection caused a significant loss of hearing in my right ear. I was panicked. As a product tester, I have had the opportunity to test many styles and brands of hearing aids, and these ELEHEAR Beyond are by far superior in every way, except for the software. These arrived with a charging case and several styles of domes. The domes were the key for me. While ReSound only provided me with the double tulip design, the open dome is the best for me. This $399 pair, now $339, at the time, is better designed, more effective, and more comfortable to wear, to the point where I often forget I’m wearing them. The batteries last more than 10 hours, although using Bluetooth for music or phone calls significantly reduces this time.My only criticism is that the software, while well-designed and easy to use, exhibits some unusual behavior, such as sending bedtime reminders to wear my hearing aids. While there are numerous sound controls and preset scenes, it hasn’t been easy to get dialed in. The Bluetooth range is approximately 10 feet, and it is also very aggressive about taking over the connection of my AirPods to my iPhone.FWIW, I read the entire privacy policy, and there is no provision for recording and retaining audio. I don’t love the open-ended language of “retaining for as long as needed,” other identifiable information, but I don’t feel these are a threat to my privacy.I have worn these for not quite 30 days, and I am 100% satisfied.PS: ELEHEAR, while I was happy to buy these for $399 on June 12, it doesn’t feel amazing to have the price drop to $339 so quickly. I suppose that I could return these and purchase a new set for the lower price, but I’m not one to game the system.

Title: Extremely Disappointed. Not Worth The Money.
Review: I’m extremely disappointed. I returned a pair before this pair that were half the price of these because I was not able to buy replacement parts. The less expensive pair worked so much better. These are constantly disconnecting from the Bluetooth. I can’t walk from one room to other or they definitely disconnect. It’s a 50/50 chance of whether or not they will stay connected with my phone in my pocket or purse. The app is not worth the extra money, as that is the only difference between the other pair and these. The sound definitely isn’t good for me, it’s either muffled or at a screaming level. The horribly loud beep that you get when you do certain things on your phone is extremely annoying. I tried very hard to give them a chance and like them but they have started randomly shutting themselves off as I am wearing them. The battery life was totally charged. Unfortunately, I will be sending these back and sticking with a simple pair of ordinary plain, no app, no bells and whistles hearing aids. I definitely do not recommend these, per my personal experience.

Title: Better than $1,800 Costco hearing aid purchase.
Review: The hearing aids and the app were better than the hearing aids and the app that my wife uses. We bought them for just under $2,000 at Costco. I love Costco’s service. But I find a have everything I need with the app. These that I wear from Elehear. They have tons of little 30 to 45 second videos in the app. They answer all your questions easily. With quality. I’ve put hers on and compared. These are better in my opinion. And 75% cheaper. I’ve been wearing them about 2 months now.

Title: Good for the value and cost!
Review: Overall great value for money. I do wish the translation feature was a little bit user friendly, the audio when speaking on a bluetooth call is often too noisey for those on the other end, and they do tend to “drop” and “reconnect” more than I’d like. Those are the only reasons I don’t give 5 stars.
