Title: These gave my 80-year-old MIL her confidence back
Review: Okay, this is the most expensive item I have ever reviewed, so I feel like I need to make this as detailed as possible. I mean, it is a lot of money and I think any user data is helpful.I got these hearing aids for my 80-year-old mother-in-law, and I have to say, they exceeded our expectations. She had struggled for years with muffled conversations and background noise overwhelming speech, but the device technology really did make voices sound more natural and clear accordng to her. Granted, these are our words, but this is what she is trying to tell us. She could follow conversations at family dinners again without straining, which was a huge win. The noise reduction worked well in busier settings too, like at her doctor’s office, and the feedback control kept them whistle-free (hooray).Full disclosure, we have to help her with much of the technology and putting them on (to start). The design was another standout. These had a lightweight receiver-in-canal fit that she found comfortable even for all-day wear. She often forgot they were in, which says a lot. The charging system was easy for her to manage. just dropping them into the case automatically turned them off and on, so she didn’t have to fiddle with tiny switches (important since she has arthritis). The fast charge was a bonus. you get 15 minutes for 6 hours of use. the full charge lasting 20 hours with extra recharges in the case meant she rarely ran low.The smart app added flexibility, and my wife helped her set up a couple of soundscape options like “breeze” and “ambient tones,” which she actually enjoyed for relaxation. The bluetooth worked well for calls and TV, though for her the biggest gain was simply hearing people clearly again. While these are pricey, they felt worth it. Not sure if I could afford them out of pocket though. If you have the funds, this could be a really good option for those with mild or moderate hearing loss.

Title: Easy setup; sleek and comfortable.
Review: These approach “real”, audiologist-programmed hearing aids from what I can tell as the non-wearer. I’ve tried them in my ears, primarily for the reason that when using ear buds and any other kind of in-ear hearing/listening devices, I always need the smallest ear tip and even that is usually uncomfortable after a while. The smallest one that came with these was more comfortable for me, for longer, than the best fitting tip on my AirPods Pro. For me, these made *everything* sound really loud. My ears are actually super sensitive already (probably because my eyes are so bad) but the amplification is impressive and clear. I’ve tried listening to music through these and they’re not the best quality earbud things we have— but they’re not the worst, either.For my husband— he’s not committed to wearing these full time yet. He basically won’t admit he has a hearing problem. But he can certainly hear and understand me better when he’s wearing these than when he’s not, so in a year or two (or less) when our ability to communicate with each other gets even more hampered (or the TV has to be at crazy levels that I just can’t handle anymore)— these are going to be what go in his ears. The battery life is good for a whole day after charging overnight, and they compare functionally to what my dad had spent thousands for from an audiologist. I’m impressed, and really glad that quality options exist OTC now.

Title: Love the Bluetooth
Review: Love the Bluetooth capability. I use google maps on my phone for nearly all my driving, primarily for traffic issues. With other hearing aids I have, even the one with phone connection, I had to change to my Bluetooth headset to use the maps. Now I need to find another use for that headset because these hearing aids do it for me. They would get 5 starts if I could adjust the hearing profiles at 5 steps like my other ones.

Title: Great features
Review: These over-the-counter hearing aids feel premium in both build and performance. The sound quality is excellent, especially in the vocal range, where they do a great job separating speech from background noise. Title: Really comfortable OTC option with a lot of features
Review: These are great for being over-the-counter and turned out to be far more comfortable than what I was expecting. My hearing loss is fairly minimal but I’m dealing with tinnitus so I was anxious to see how these deal with it and I’m really happy with the results. Build quality is great and they feel high end.Because of the built in controls, you can use these without installing the app on your phone but to get the best experience you’ll definitely need the app. There are so many options/features that I’m still working my way through them but if you know your way around your phone, it’s not so bad. If you’re not as tech savvy, it’d be good to recruit some help so you can take full advantage of these great hearing aids.Recharge is fairly quick and I’m able to squeeze out nearly a full day of use so far. The carry case is a good size without being too big and I can easily carry them in my cargo pocket (I’m looking at you, my fellow Gen X brothers).

Title: Unwearable
Review: I got them within hours of ordering them, which was great! They seemed to work very well from the start. The issue I have that makes them 100% unbearable, is that when I tested tinnitus masking noises, I then could not get them to STOP. Nothing I did would make it go away. The FAQs said to simply turn it off. There IS NO OFF. I figured out how to turn on and off the selections of sounds on the screen, but what I keep hearing is not an option on there. And I am so mad, because I dont want white noise all the time. I cannot work with a babbling stupid Brooke in my ears. If I cannot fix it tomorrow. I’m returning them and trying something else entirely.
