Title: Magnifier for my mother
Review: My mother has macular degeneration and her vision is very poor. She needed a better magnifier with a larger screen and with at least 32x magnification. She had one once before but it was purchased through an eye doctor and it stopped working. She figured out how to use it again and I see her using it every day. She’s not able to use it with the computer but she does use it with newspapers, books and other similar items. It is on the expensive side, but my mother feels it is worth being able to read.

Title: Uses ANCIENT tech!
Review: The item itself works well, but beware: the GENIUSES who designed it decided to use a MINI-usb port (a 20-year old, legacy technology) despite having introduced it less than 2 years ago, well after MICRO-usb became the standard (and forget about usb-c, maybe they’ll get around to it 30 years from now.) Bottom line: my mom can barely see to plug it in (I usually have to do it for her) and just try to get any kind of adapter for it. For a product DESIGNED fo people with low vision, this decision is a real head-scratcher. You have been warned.
