Review: Have been using magnifying visors for 50+ years. Ordered this for my daughter. Very impressed by the design. Much better made and more versatile than the old standby Donegans for lots less $$$. The lenses are good quality acrylic, the visor stays in place, nice padded headband. Excellent choice!!

Review: this product is very robust, great quality, looks like it will last for few years. Zooming is great, extra magnifier is easy to use, led is properly powerful, it’s not heavy. Bought it for my mom but she said it was too heavy so I gave her one I had from another brand, lighter, but with less features. I kept this one for me and I’m happy with it.

Review: This thing is great. The lenses pop in and out easily so switching magnification mid project is no hassle. The LED light helps a ton and somehow finds details I didn’t even know I missed.That little flip down mini magnifier is a clever idea but it took me a while to get used to it. The first time I tried it I gave myself a mild headache and questioned my life choices. With a little practice though I think I’ll get the hang of it.Overall this head magnifier has become my go to for painting miniatures. I’m pulling out details I never could before. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to actually see what they’re painting or other small detail work.

Review: Review of B0DQ8CDMPR – eSynic 1-14X Head Magnifier:In one of my prior lives I was a jeweler and one of my most essential tools was a headband magnifier similar to this. You’ve probably seen pictures of jewelers wearing the same one I wore, ubiquitous among jewelers, which is a far more expensive professional magnifying headband with fixed magnification optical glass and a leather forehead cushion. I still have that headband and I’m looking at it right now. It has a #7 lens (2.75X magnification) for closeup work such as setting diamonds, which is the magnification I used most frequently. I also had the same headband with a #5 lens (2.5X magnification) for slightly more distant work such as filing and finishing, but I’ve somehow lost track of that one over the years.Although this is basically the same design as my professional one, it has several significant improvements:• 5 interchangeable lenses with 1.0X, 1.5X, 2.0X, 2.5X and 3.5X magnification.• Lenses can be doubled up to increase or fine tune magnification.• Integrated LED lighting with two levels of power.• Much less expensive.This one is less expensively made and has plastic lenses, but has greater versatility. The ability to change lens magnification is the greatest attribute. It has a swing-down lens for quickly adding extreme magnification when needed (just like my professional model has).The headband design does not interfere with prescription glasses. The side knobs have spring washers to effectively adjust the visor tension. The back knob adjusts the headband and can lock the adjustment so it doesn’t drift. The LED light has a tilt adjustment with detents to hold where set.I have a couple of different magnifying glasses with interchangeable lenses, but they are more like glasses with a nose-piece. They both have a similar set of lenses and I hate using them because the lenses fall out constantly. At first I feared these used the same lens design, but I took a chance and ordered them anyway. I am very pleased that these lenses are a little different, a little larger, and hold securely. They have never fallen out. Yippee!I like my professional headband magnifier more, but it also costs several times more, has only a single magnification, and has no lighting. This does the same job, and a whole lot more, and costs far less. This is a versatile and comprehensive magnifier, and a great value. I no longer do jewelry work — today I work with vintage computers and this magnifier is priceless for examining tiny components and repairing circuits.

Title: Good quality, great magnification options
Review: This is a really nice head magnifier. It’s affordable and good quality and I like the multiple lenses for different magnifications. I got it for shop work – soldering, etc. But I’ve actually used it more that I expected for inspecting bumps and marks on my toddler – as the spring started my wife’s concerns about ticks really ramped up. So anytime my daughter has a new spot, freckle, or spec of dirt, we take out this magnifier and inspect it! Much easier than using my handheld microscope and trying to get my daughter to hold perfectly still.

Review: This magnifying headband is well presented and comes with a sturdy protective case, inside a branded box.Although I found the instructions to be particularly useless, it’s fairly self-explanatory how it works. Almost everything is fully adjustable and the only bit I couldn’t move was the small magnifying glass that you can swing down. It looks to me as if it’s fixed to the right hand side.All of the lenses come in a small storage box and it’s very easy to pop them in and out of the headband. There are two slots so you can use either a single lens, or combine them to get higher magnification. I found the headband easy to adjust, as long as you remember to pop the button out before you adjust it, then press it back when you’re done. Once the headband is in place, there is plenty of movement on the placement of the lenses in front of your eyes, so you can alter the angle if you’re looking down at something, or raise them if you’re looking more in front.The small unit with the light can be detached for charging (cable provided, but no plug) and again the angle can be changed to suit your needs, as can the intensity of the light.It does take a bit of fiddling to get it all set up initially, but once it’s done it’s pretty simple to repeat. Both my hubby and I have used it, him because he has very poor vision and this has helped him to finally be able to read a little, and me just for close work where I need a bit of a boost. We both need different lens combinations, but now we know what they are, we can change them in a jiffy.All in all, we find this a very useful bit of kit and I think at the current price of £27.37 it’s a bit of a bargain.

Review: I’m a “gentleman of a certain age” who is finding that his eyes are nowhere near as competent as they used to be. As such, it’s been getting a bit frustrating working on some of my favorite projects (RC Cars, camera repairs, computers) as seeing some of the small components and fasteners is a real challenge.The eSynic Rechargeable Head Magnifier has been a huge help in that regard. It’s very comfortable to wear, even for an extended period, and the five different lenses can be used individually or in combination to get just the right amount of magnification for any project. I typically wear +2.00 reading glasses and I’ve found I can use this magnifier with or without them. With them on I simply get greater magnification and a shorter focusing distance.And that is one thing to be aware of with a unit like this: the greater the magnification, the closer you will need to bring the object to get it into clear focus. For me, with my glasses on and the 3.5X magnification lens in place, whatever I am looking at needs to be just a few inches from my face in order to be sharp.The LED light that is included with the headset is incredibly helpful, too, as so many of the components on my projects are painted black for some inexplicable reason, making them hard to see in all but the best light.At the end of the day, the ability to get this much magnification, clarity and light on a subject while having your hands free to work makes this a great tool for any hobbyist.
