Title: Easy to install. Easy to use. Great for security.
Review: If you’re in the market for an extra-secure lock that you can open remotely, buy this one.Ease of setup: I have zero experience with home improvement type things – I’m normally a task-rabbit girlie. But I’m currently a bit poor, so had to suck it up and install it myself, and it truly was simple to do. If I can do it, any idiot can do it.Quality: It’s good. I feel like you can’t go wrong with a Eufy product. They may be a bit pricier than others, but they’re always good quality. They look nice, feel nice, act nice, etc.Functionality: It works. One little plus is that it works even if the batteries are dead. I was out of town and needed someone to stop by my house. The app told me that the batteries had died and I was afraid the lock would stop working and they wouldn’t be able to get in. I was pleasantly surprised that that was NOT the case!One (pretty obvious) thing to note: if you have a door that kind of sticks, make sure you shut it hard / all the way. This can’t lock if the deadbolt isn’t lined up with the hole in the other side of the door.App: This can be controlled remotely from the app because the lock connects to wifi. I have another Eufy lock (one of the fancier ones with the fingerprint thing – which this one does NOT have) on my front door, and that one can only be unlocked with the app if you’re close enough to it on bluetooth. Which is honestly so dumb, because if I was at home when I needed to open the door I’d just walk over and unlock it manually. This one however, is a major upgrade because I can unlock it from wherever I am! Game changing for if you need to let someone in while you’re not home, but you don’t want to give them your code. Just unlock it for them and then re-lock it when they leave!

Title: eufy C30 – Good lock at reasonable price; easy install; easy setup with APP
Review: This eufy C30 lock was extremely easy to install and setup using the APP.It easily connected to BLUETOOTH and WiFi without fuss or problems.The Built-in WiFi is what prompted me to try this lock. It is very good.Anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, no-gimmicks, easy to setup and use, keyless lock should consider this one – the eufy C30.The APP was very easy to setup, understand it’s functions and to use it to provide multiple access codes.I also had extremely good experience with their Customer Support.I had to move my lock from a RIGHT opening door to a LEFT opening door.I contacted Customer Support to ask how to reset the lock for the change in LOCK DIRECTION.The support assistant was extremely courteous & knowledgeable; provided the FIX over the phone, as well as by email, with a problem ticket number, in case I needed a follow-up call.I had no trouble at all following their instructions and the LOCK (eufy C30) and it’s APP are working perfectly in it’s new location.This lock provides what I need, from an easy-to-use keyless device.It is now installed on the side door of my garage.

Title: Terrible battery life
Review: I installed these smart locks on the doors of several of my rental properties as the guests frequently complained about using the touch screen interface on my other Eufy smart locks.For a bare bones and extremely cheap smart lock, these are the absolute best smart locks I have ever used except that they require 4AA batteries and they chew up battery life incredibly quickly.I originally used Amazon branded batteries and they died within the first week of using the smart lock.I next tried Duracell Extreme batteries in one lock and Energizer’s “longest lasting” batteries in another… Both experienced complete battery failure in under 6 weeks.The Duracell batteries were completely dead and the lock did not give a noticable warning (neither on the lock itself nor in the mobile app) to warn me of the imminent failure.The lock completely failed to operate even without the remote functions… Luckily I had the physical key in a lock box and I could enter the home through the garage as an other backup…If you purchase this lock, plan on changing batteries every 3-4 weeks, and please set up alternative ways of entering the home, especially for a rental property…At least the digital keypad Eufy locks allow for keypad operation even after the mobile/remote futures go off line.The digital face/keypad is extremely difficult to use, but the finger print reader works amazingly well as does the mobile/remote features.. With the digital Eufy lock, you get a rechargeable battery pack which gives off an extremely loud warning notice when the battery pack needs recharging, and which gives a great notice through the mobile app.With this lock chewing up batteries so quickly (without using a rechargeable battery pack) it is absolutely useless for my needs and I have already swapped these out for the older Kwikset smart locks without remote app ability as batteries last well over 12 months on those.I keep one entry way with a remote opening smart lock while keeping an older generation smart lock on the front door), as a means to ensure the best access for my tenants.I wanted to love this lock, but battery life is so bad, that I can’t use it..Everything else about the lock is absolutely amazing.

Title: Good lock with a shorter battery life
Review: This smart door lock is easy to install and function as expected at a relative lower cost than other Eufy models. After almost one year of use, the only drawback, as pointed out by other customers, is its battery life, hence the 4-star. It averages to be about 3-month/set-of-4-AA-alkaline-battery. The batteries are replaced when the red warning is shown on the keypad/app. The physical keys are also useful backup options when the batteries are not replaced in time.

Review: A right faff to fit and set up involving creating a large hole in your door. I have an enormous collection of tools, but nothing “standard sized” cut the holes the right size. Then another faff setting it to work with alexa.After 1 day one of the two locks I bought stopped responding. They were both close enough to the router – about 10m with 1 wall between. Other wifi kit farther in the same direction still worked. Batteries measured at 1.2V (brand new, 1 day old!). Not even the keypad would operate the lock. Tried a reset etc … nothing.Locks are about security and trust. Have since removed and am looking to return both locks – leaving big holes in 2 ruined expensive doors.
