Title: The Sleep Monitoring Function & Step Counter Was Off on my band
Review: Maybe I got a lemon? The tracker simply did not keep accurate counts of anything. And it did not properly track my sleep at all–missing an entire 3 hours of solid sleep. It tries to track your sleep by accounting for body movements, heart rate, and other things. It did not accurately count my steps either–sometimes not counting steps at all, and other times giving me three dozen steps or more when I walked only a few. And when I kept it on for more than 24 hours I got a pounding headache–and I never get headaches. So I thought that was strange. I returned it. If someone still wants to try it, aesthetically, it is an attractive band on the wrist, the materials appear and feel quality, the digital display is appealing and can be modified. The app you can download on your phone is not intrusive and you do not have to sign up and even give an email. But you don’t need the app for the band to function–the app simply permits you to transfer all the data to your phone, so you can see your data collected over long periods of time, sort of like a spreadsheet. Again, maybe I just got a lemon. I really wanted it for sleep monitoring, and since it did not work for me, I have zero confidence in that feature on this band.

Title: OK Starting Point, but definitely has downsides
Review: I’ve had this for just over 4 months, now, and here’s my take:Pros:1. Instructions are clear, and if you follow them the device is pretty easy to set up and use.2. The band adjusts small enough to fit my very small wrist snugly.3. It has a good variety of display faces to choose from, including at least one that shows you pretty much everything at a glance: time, steps, remaining battery, and more.4. From the days it does work well, it has helped me get a better overall view of my health and activity levels. See Cons below for an offsetting issue.5. It seems pretty sturdily built and likely durable, for the most part. There is one piece of material that is… less than ideal quality, addressed in Cons below.6. It charges pretty quickly and holds a charge well. I can easily set it on the charger while I’m sitting having dinner or something, so I don’t lose any step tracking, and have it at least mostly charged (enough to last a few days) by the time I’m ready to get back up.Cons:1. It doesn’t work well at all times, especially syncing from the device to the app. There have been a number of days, for instance, that my “Halfway Done” or “Goal Achieved” notice for steps has gone off on the device, but the number of steps is significantly below half or there is simply no data for the same day when I go to look at the stats on the app. There have also been a number of days where it only counted a single nap or the half of the night after a brief bathroom break for my sleep, and there is no way to go look at other sleep “sessions” for the day to total them up or anything. This occurs even after manually syncing. The data is just not there. Major problem for me, as steps and sleep tracking are really the main features I was wanting on such a device.2. Even though it’s one of the daintiest ones I could find, the face is still a little bulky for my small, bony wrists. If I have to bend my wrist a certain way, it even presses in and hurts a bit.3. It is VERY touch sensitive in the spot that’s meant to be touch sensitive, and there is no dimmer or light-adaptive option for the display. The display will come on and even change function screens if drops of water hit the right spot in the shower, if my covers brush against the touch sensitive spot at night, etc. If that happens when I’m trying to sleep at night it’s so bright it will wake me. There goes the sleep quality I’m trying to improve, and there’s a risk it will cause the issue with losing sleep tracking as stated above.4. Activity type options to track workouts and such are very limited on the device, even if you set up a wide variety on the app. Not such a big deal for me, but likely one for some people.5. The buckle seems very poor quality. It’s sturdy enough (as in, I’m not afraid it will break), but the coloring on it rubs off quickly and just keeps “bleeding.” I got the light pink band, so the coloration rubbing off from the buckle made the band look dingy within a day or two. I have to clean the band very frequently, even when I haven’t been subjecting it to anything else that should dirty or dull it like that. Plus, the buckle is now sort of pewter-ish in color, instead of the lovely rose gold it originally was.All in all, I don’t feel like it was entirely wasted money for a starting point, but I will definitely be on the hunt for something better. I may even switch to a ring, given the build of my wrists.

Title: Great watch for health
Review: This is very similar to a Fitbit. Very comfortable and light on my wrist. The screen is bright and clear, and the blacks in the oled are great. It helps the colors really pop. I highly recommended downloading the companion app for your phone. It looks like that’s the only way to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit.Touch controls are simple. There’s only one area that is touch sensitive. Tap to switch the next app. Hold to select. The blood pressure feature surprised me at how accurate it was. Battery life is amazing and much better than my Apple Watch (1 day vs 1-2 weeks). You can get a lot more watch faces using the app. Time syncs with up with your phone. It can get notifications from your phone, but the screen is too small to be used well that way.
