Title: They work fine
Review: These lights are very similar to the ones I put up over 5 years ago and those are still working.So far I have added two of these and about my only complaint is that the mounting plate is a bit flimsy.They turn on just fine when the breaker is turned off, so I expect that they will work and hopefully last at least 5 years like the first set.

Title: Works – not easy to install
Review: Emergency lights do not come with any installation hardware. If attaching to a box you will need a box plate as as back of light is smaller than a standard electrical box. If attaching to conduit you will need a Dremel or something similar to cut out the holes. While it does have an outline of where to cut for conduit the plastic is too thick for utility knife. Make sure power is off while installing. I hot wired mine and it tricks the device to thinking you have no power when you click the lid on. Removing cover, turning power off and replacing lid solved the problem. Once installed worked as advertised. They are cheap so can’t complain really. Looks nice.

Title: Bright emergency lights
Review: These were easy to install as I was upgrading some old lights as the batteries in the old units would no longer charge. These are LED with built in batteries so when the batteries eventually fail on these unit I’ll most likely just replace the entire light again.Be sure to read the directions to connect the battery once you have the electrical connection made.

Title: Bargain deal, lights simple and useful
Review: Lights all worked well. No grounding wire is in the design, and instructions could be a little better. I did find one useful mode by accident when I permitted the red (220VAC) wire to ground – the light stayed on whether 110v was supplied as not, making it an uninterrupted light, might be a useful mode to include. When supplying light with 110v, the 220 unused wire is ‘hot’, so an annoying danger marginally mitigated by capping it with a wire nut. The swiveling feature on the lights feels weak, but they shouldn’t need to be adjusted after mounting, so shouldn’t be an issue. For the price, cheaper than replacing batteries in existing lights.

Review: The bugeye light is an equal product so no issue with the quality – it’s a very basic design of mid-range fabrication. What was disappointing was the mounting plate pre-punched holes. They don’t align with a standard American 4-square box ring so holes will need to be drilled out to allow the mounting screws to pass through. The mounting plate is also a tad small so there’s a little air space showing into the junction box from outside of the mounting plate.

Title: Great for the money
Review: After a planned power outage, we discovered that many of our Church’s ancient emergency lighting needed updated. Some areas are on 277vac while others are still 120vac. These can be wired for either voltage and are clearly wired. The lights are bright and the batteries are extremely long lasting. Very happy with them and can highly recommend them, so much so that we’re replacing all existing with these.
