Title: Phone works great for my elderly Mom!
Review: I ordered this phone for my 96 year old mother. I needed something with big buttons and that the volume could be increased. She loves it. We preprogramed the family phone numbers into the phone so she doesn’t have to remember any numbers. I would buy this again.

Title: Not impressed
Review: I bought this for my 103 year old mother because it has large buttons and an answering machine. The manual was not very helpful and the device is not at all intuitive. It took 2 of us tech savvy individuals to get it working. Apparently the power flicked off and the answering matchine doesn’t work. Actually one can leave a message and the answering tells you how many messages were received but there’s no way to retrieve them. We finally set an announcement asking callers not to leave a message. Useless

Title: Great phone, download the manual!
Review: This is a great phone that looks good too, not just for “Seniors”, the keypad is more ergonomic than many other models. I chose it because I had a previous Siemens Gigaset that lasted over 20 years. It has many useful features, so download the PDF manual from the link on the Amazon product page! Here are some further notes: Redial is a LONG press of the talk key, dialing is short (that’s backwards). The area codes under Telephony aren’t described; set “area code” to avoid dialing it when returning local calls with 7-digit dialing; set two “extra” codes instead to avoid dialing “1” in a 10-digit dialing area (that’s from other Gigaset manuals). Title: Display easy to read, easy for basic use. Klunky software – keep the manual. Sometimes crashes
Review: These phones seemed perfect for my mother with reduced vision. She could read the large print in reverse-video.The interface is a bit odd – everything we would expect is there, just creatively different than you would expect. Not intuitive at all. It all works, but it is not intuitive – just persist through setting it up and then it will be fine.UPDATE: after about 3 months of use we recycled them. The units would sometimes crash, requiring a power-cycle to recover. The answering machine recorded a bad message once, it would crash and reboot if you tried to play the messages. I finally found I could delete all messages without playing and then it was OK (except then we lost any real messages after the fatal-message without hearing them). Finally we gave up on it.

Review: Bought this phone for my 95 year old mother in law. The only thing good about this set is the large numbers. Poor quality. Very difficult to set up and understand. Bought this in March and by June the answering machine would not work. I trashed it and bought a better quality set.

Review: J’ai acheté ce duo de téléphones Gigaset pour un proche qui commence à avoir des difficultés visuelles et auditives, et je suis vraiment impressionnée par la qualité et la convivialité du produit.✅ Les touches sont larges, bien espacées et très faciles à lire, même pour des doigts un peu moins agiles. L’écran de 2 pouces affiche les informations en gros caractères, ce qui le rend accessible sans lunettes dans la majorité des cas.✅ Le volume est réglable très fort, ce qui est un vrai plus pour les personnes malentendantes. Le son est clair, sans grésillements ni interférences, même à distance. Le haut-parleur est aussi performant si la personne préfère ne pas tenir le combiné.✅ Le répondeur intégré est simple à utiliser, avec une interface intuitive. Le système de blocage d’appels indésirables est aussi très utile pour éviter les appels frauduleux ou automatisés — une vraie tranquillité d’esprit.✅ Le design est sobre, solide, et les combinés tiennent bien en main. L’autonomie est également excellente : plusieurs jours sans recharge, même en usage régulier.📌 Petit point à noter : la configuration initiale est un peu technique (surtout pour l’heure/date et l’association des combinés), donc mieux vaut que quelqu’un s’en occupe pour l’utilisateur final si celui-ci n’est pas à l’aise avec la technologie.En résumé : un duo de téléphones très fiable, bien pensé pour les besoins des personnes âgées ou de toute personne cherchant une interface simple et visible. Review: I purchased this telephone for an elderly friend who is hard of hearing and has sight issues. The unit has a nice bright display but it is so complex to use and has ongoing issues, in particular with the voice mail. A friend telephoned the company in Germany twice to try to get it set up correctly; neither phone call produced any resolution. I feel bad that I purchased this item for her that has only resulted in frustration and poor service for her.
