Title: A Huge Time-Saver, Just Note the Card Durability
Review: This is an incredibly efficient system for families or therapists. From a program management perspective, the value here is the time saved—this kit is ready to deploy right out of the box. The organizational design is very smart: using a standard 3-ring binder makes the system customizable, and the 8 color-coded plastic dividers allow for quick access to the different categories. The cards have rounded corners for safety, which is a good touch. My only reservation, and the reason for 4 stars, is the durability of the cards themselves. They are described as double-laminated paper, not solid plastic, so I’d be watchful of their long-term durability under heavy, daily use. But for around $20, the value is undeniable when you factor in the hours you’d spend creating this yourself.

Title: Perfect for my ABA kiddos
Review: Excellent Communication Tool!• Durability: The binder and cards are sturdy and hold up well to frequent use. The laminated finish makes them resistant to bending and tearing, which is great for kids’ hands.• Quality: Very professional and thoughtfully designed. The tabs and dividers keep everything organized, and the ring binder opens/closes smoothly.• Value for money: For the number of cards included (240!) plus the binder and tabs, this is a great investment compared to buying cards separately.• Picture quality: Clear, colorful, and easy to recognize. The images are simple enough for beginners but versatile for older learners as well.• Ease of use: Extremely user-friendly. The pre-divided sections make it quick to find what you need, and the velcro system works perfectly for building communication boards.• Size: Perfect size for both home and on-the-go. The binder isn’t too bulky but large enough for the pictures to be easily visible.✅ Overall: This set is durable, practical, and effective for building communication skills. It’s an amazing tool for articulation therapy, autism support, and general language development.

Title: Let down. 😕
Review: Let down. 😕I wanted so badly to love this but that just wasn’t the case. My son has autism and is mostly non-speaking. He can verbalize his wants/needs and use single words and he has an IPad AAC as well but I thought this would be another outlet of communication for him to have. I obviously love the concept as many kids use communication boards but this one is quite flawed in my opinion. First, you don’t have nearly enough space! Second, it would have been so incredibly helpful to supply a sheet of blank boards so that you can personalize them using your own photos. Finally, it would have also been helpful to have a Misc section so you can put options that aren’t included. Overall, I was sadly disappointed.

Title: Colorful and durable and great to use at home or school
Review: This communication board set is nice because there are a lot of words included in the set. The binder that is included is a nice way to keep all of the pieces organized for the person to keep all of the pieces in a central location and the pages are set up so they are grouped by topic. I appreciate that the pieces were bright and colorful and clearly display the action or item it is representing. I feel the binder is a nice addition to the set and allows for the set to be portable and can easily be placed in a backpack or a bag. The pieces are made of a durable felt which makes it worth the money paid for the set. These pieces should last a long time. The only thing I would like to see as an addition is a foldable communication board that a student could use to create longer thoughts.

Title: Love the Cards, But the Binder Falls Short
Review: As a mother of a minimally verbal autistic child, I was very excited to receive the GISGFIM Visual Communication Book. We are no strangers to using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) cards, and I was hopeful this set would be a great addition to our tools. Upon opening the package, my son was immediately drawn to the colorful binder covers and the beautifully illustrated cards. What We LovedBeautiful and Engaging Design: The illustrations are bright and appealing, making the cards fun for my son to interact with.Wonderful Variety: The set includes a great range of 240 cards across 8 essential categories: Food, Emotions, Actions, School, Family Activities, Clothes, and Animals. This variety is incredibly helpful.Child-Friendly Features: The cards are a good size and come with rounded corners, which is an important detail for ensuring safe handling by little hands.Helpful during Meltdowns: My son can speak but struggles to form sentences without prompting. During a sensory meltdown, these picture cards are an invaluable tool to help him express his needs when he can’t find the words.Areas for ImprovementWhile the design and concept are fantastic, there are some significant issues with the functionality of the binder itself. The binder is simply too small to hold all the pages once they are fully assembled with cards from all eight categories.Limited Binder Capacity: To get the binder to close properly, we can only fit a maximum of four double-sided pages at a time. This means four of the eight categories have to be left out or the cards must be left off the pages unless they are in immediate use.Storage and Organization: A more effective solution would be a larger binder that can accommodate all the assembled pages, or a separate, color-coded storage system for the cards to make them easier to find quickly.Missing Key Cards: I was surprised to find that cards for crucial concepts like “sick” and “hurt” were not included. We will be adding some of our own custom cards, including pronouns, numbers, and a keyboard letter page for spelling.Final ThoughtsOverall, I love the concept and the thought put into the design of these cards. They are durable, well-illustrated, and cover a great range of vocabulary. However, the binder’s small size is a major drawback, as it prevents me from having all the cards assembled and ready to use. I hope a future version of this product will feature a larger binder with room for all the included cards and the ability to add more.
