Review: The Govee Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring (4 Pack) has completely upgraded how I manage my home devices. Setup was quick and easy—no hub required—and the plugs connected smoothly to both Alexa and Google Assistant. Voice control works flawlessly, and I love being able to set timers and groups for multiple devices at once.The energy monitoring feature is a huge bonus. It’s really helpful to see how much power my devices are using, and it’s already helping me cut down on unnecessary energy costs. Title: Functions just as I expected them to.
Review: I got what I expected to get and the smart plugs work great. I especially like the device monitoring feature because, well, that’s why I got them. You see, if you have a generator or some kind of power station that you got for power outages or for camping or for anything like that? Something like these smart plugs is what you want to have so that you can determine how much power different devices are going to use, BEFOREHAND. That way, when it comes time to use your generator or power station, you can have a plan for which devices you are going to plug into it, as well as if it’s going to be enough to power what you want to power.Just to be clear, these smart plugs are the H5086 models. At the time of this review they are the newest ones, and I believe they are the only ones like this that Govee makes that are capable of energy monitoring. There are smart plugs that Govee sells that look almost identical to these, that I’m pretty sure do NOT have energy monitoring, which are the H5080 models. And then there’s also the H5082 model smart plugs that Govee sells. They are similar to these too, except that they have two sockets on each smart plug, and I’m pretty sure they don’t have energy monitoring either.Anyway, besides all of that, these smart plugs function pretty much how I have come to expect things to function that are made by Govee. They are easy to use. They work with Alexa AND Google. They have the necessary electrical certifications. And they have superb safety features. Oh, and they can also be controlled through Wi-Fi OR Bluetooth. Basically, whatever you need a smart plug to do should be covered by these awesome little smart plugs by Govee.

Title: Absolutely Love These! Quirks Mentioned Below…
Review: 4.75 out of 5.I am an avid Govee user. The app can be quirky, but if you have a DIY mindset at all, these quirks are easy to overcome. This switch is great: immediately connects, works over both wi-fi and bluetooth, and has timer functionality. The app is being constantly updated to fix bugs and improve automation.Some quirks to mention:(1) TIMERS always work; AUTOMATION requires wi-fi.A primary reason I purchased a few of these was to reboot my entire wi-fi network regularly at 5am, including mesh nodes, router, and some switches. The Govee app (as of version 6.5.02/866.0) has recently been encouraging me to move many of my scheduled lighting timers to the newer automation feature which (can be a little difficult to find: Shortcuts Panel >> Upper-right icon (looks like 3 squares and a circle) >> Auto-Run). For consistency, I decided to move my switches to this same system. I noticed, then, that the switches would never turn back on. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that using the timer feature (Home >> Tap the Device >> Timer) will work regardless of connection status, while the automation appears to require wi-fi. Not at all a dealbreaker for me, but I could see this causing frustrated returns for people wanting to reboot their network with this product. The lack of clarity here in when to use timers versus when to use automation, added to the lack of clarity of the location of the Automation section, is the reason for the 0.25 star reduction. I would consider this a perfect product, otherwise.(2) The size is indeed a little awkward… For power strips.Other reviews mention that the shape of these makes it difficult to not eat up two outlets on a power strip, however keep in mind that these are not really designed for that usage. They’re designed for use in wall outlets, for which they are a perfect fit. That said, this is not at all a dealbreaker for me.

Review: This is not the first time I bought this smart plugs. They work very well. Their app is really good and easy to use. I have many other Govee products and the app integrates all of them including the smart plugs, air filter, air quality monitor and lights.I like the possibility to control de air filter. Sometimes I am already in the bed and forgot to turn off the air filter. So I use the app and done!
