Title: Lower cost RIC hearing aids; virtually “invisible”; easy operation [4.5 stars]
Review: To date, these are the lowest cost Receiver in Canal (RIC) hearing aids I have tried and reviewed to date; $269.10 US ($299 less 10% using the listing’s online coupon). Here are my observations:PROS: 1) There are 6 sets of open and closed type of ear pads in various sizes and choosing the correct size and type really matters; in my case dramatically. 2) These aids are virtually “invisible” to others from the front and sides (the body is visible from the rear as it sits behind the ear. 3) They fit very well and are secure. 4) There is one easy to use toggle switch on each aid to turn them on / off, change volume (6 levels), and switch between modes: “Normal”, “Noisy” environments, and “Tinnitus” (the aids do not amplify in this mode). 5) Sound quality is good (not 100% “natural”; it got better as I switched between ear pads, etc. Bearing in mind volume is not an issue for me, the volume was very strong. 6) Good listed power capacity: 2-hour charge for 20 hours of operation and 3 additional charges from the case (not connected to power) for a total of 80 hours.NOTABLE: 1) I was able to avoid any concerns about screeching by making sure to power these aids on and off while wearing them. 2) MAKE SURE the ear pads are very securely attached and to remove them slowly and gently; as they sit inside the ear canal, it could be an issue if they popped off. 3) I will do an edit if this is an issue but the battery indicator ran down from 100% to 91% in 10-15 minutes; not a real concern at this point. 4) The first pair I got had a faulty left aid (it discharged almost immediately after being turned on; these replacements worked flawlessly. 5) The tinnitus mode did not help (or helped nominally) in my case but since tinnitus is different for each individual I don’t count this an as con. 6) These aids are not advertised to have Bluetooth or ASHA but I wish they had it; a want but not a con.OVERALL: These are presently a lower cost offering for RIC hearing aids (in fairness, the higher priced RIC aids I have tried and reviewed have more features). They are very easy to use, fit well, and have good sound quality. Taking the much lower price in to consideration, to me these are 4.5 stars which round to 5 stars.

Title: Good price
Review: This is a good price considering how much hearing aids normally cost and the features on this pair are all that I need. I have only mild hearing loss – but enough to have problems hearing some conversations and watching TV to hear the dialogue. These are rechargeable – which is the only way to go instead of those that take batteries – as the cost of replacing batteries adds up!
