Title: I’m a unilateral meaning I can only hear from one ear
Review: I have to say for the price it’s not bad. It looks pretty decent and it takes getting used to. I’ve never used one of these but always the smaller amplifier ones and they seem to work pretty good. The only thing I would suggest for anybody who’s never used behind the ear variety is that insert them first into the ear canal and then wrap it around your ear to let it settle. The reason is because if you do it in reverse, sometimes it’s harder to get the correct position for sound wise. You’ll know because the sound will be more noticeable rather than partially inserted where you’re getting leftover sound. It also takes a little bit getting used to find the correct volume level that you like. The only thing I would say if they make a new model for volume it should have instead of a slider have a slider, but every time you go up the volume there would be a little bit of resistance, for example one to five or one to seven. Instead the slider if you move it up or down just keep going. You’ll only know if it’s working and if it sounds correctly if you have it to the desired level, but once you do, you don’t have to change it again.Beyond that I don’t have anything negative to say about it and it’s still worth five stars. It’s just my personal opinion if they ever upgraded I’ve only used the standard mode and noise cancellation for loud environment. I still don’t understand what the third one is the outdoors because it sounds similar to the first one. I would say maybe a little bit more expanded.I’m primarily using these for the next couple weeks till I can have a hearing appointment where they will assign me a doctor a professional grade behind the ear either way I don’t think I’m getting rid of it because it would be a nice back up. It’s nice also that it’s rechargeable. I recently started having issues hearing clearly because of the cold weather so I need to see an ear nose and throat doctor so far after using it a day it worked great.

Title: My Hearing Amplifiers Have Very Good Sound But Aren’t The Same As Pictured On Webpage…
Review: Initially I like to state my typical clarification and cautionary note that I assign to all Hearing Amplifiers that I review as an Amazon Vine Reviewer and it goes as follows: Practically all of the Hearing Amplifier sellers on Amazon list somewhere in the description that they are selling Hearing Aids and in the very basic sense of the word they do aid in someone’s hearing but they are definitely not true hearing aids. To me these should be listed as Hearing Amplifiers only and whatever hearing amplifiers you decide to purchase they are not true hearing aids but what most would consider as PSAP’s (personal sound amplification products). These hearing amplifiers are sufficient for helping the elderly or hearing impaired with mild to somewhere below moderate hearing loss. True hearing aids amplify only certain frequencies based on your hearing profile or what’s normally called an Audiogram where over the years you begin lacking the ability to hear certain sounds due to one reason or another, but PSAPs amplify all sounds equally so if you use these aids to assist you with your hearing loss just be sure to start your volume level at the lowest level possible that offers a benefit to your hearing because if you crank them up too loud it may sound good at first but you may, over time, lose what good hearing you have left…I’m rating this set of LarkSound Hearing Amplifiers (Model ZT2306) based on their low entry level price which will keep me from being overly critical based on the current controls. As I’ve mentioned above many sellers use the term Hearing Aids in place of Hearing Amplifiers and this one is no exception. At the current price point I was expecting really poor sound quality but to my surprise I was really impressed with the quality of sound reproduction while listening to my TV. Now before I go any further let me state that these “BTE” (Behind the Ear) Amplifiers that I am reviewing doesn’t match the picture or description of the ones as pictured on their Amazon Webpage so I’m at a loss as to why the page does not match what I received to review. It could be that the ones I received are either older or newer versions of the ones that they have shown but I’ve attached close-up photo of mine so you can see that they are clearly not the same model. Also the ZT2306 Hearing Amplifiers Manual has different specifications than the specs being mentioned on the webpage such as the usage time is noted on the webpage as being 24 hours if fully charged but my manual states 8 hours of headset time. As I mentioned earlier I really liked the sound reproduction and for the money although the manual controls or what I would refer to as “Old School” controls all being utilized on the case of the hearing amplifiers is what I would expect for a low budget priced model like these so honestly I can’t deduct from their overall rating just because I know they have better technology on other current hearing amplifiers being sold since the step up in technology also comes at a higher price as well. Honestly the only real complaint I have is that these do not possess a charging case so they can both be charged at the same rate at the same time but again that could be a budgetary issue but if the manual I have in my hands is correct and these only get 8 hours of headset usage time that is a non-starter for me and although I will rate these higher due to the price and the sound reproduction I cannot in good faith recommend a pair that you would be required to re-charge during your day at work and thus having to charge each one separately. That would involve needing 90 minutes for each hearing amplifier which as I stated is a non-starter for me… Had they lasted for at least 12 to 18 hours I would have been giving these an Overall Rating of 5 Stars but based on the manual stating 8 hours I will set my Overall Rating at 4 Stars with the caveat that I can’t recommend these with their usage specs as stated in the manual…Just one more clarification, I double checked the Item Model Number under the Product Details from the Amazon Webpage and it also is stated as “ZT2306” which of course is the same as stated on the included Manual with the Amplifiers I received…

Title: As long as it’s understood these are just amplifiers, these performs as expected.
Review: With numerous tip options and a rechargable feature (nice to not have to be concerned about batteries), these amplifiers deliver as expected. As soon as I had the device seated, I noticed an improvement in my ability to hear the TV at a lower volume. Adequately comfortable, the Larksound, behind the ear, amplifiers are easy to wear. I am always a bit “gun shy” when testing new hearing devices as stealth screeching is extemely uncomfortable. The directions for these amplifiers advise how to avoid that experience while using these aids. The best and most accurate assessment of the Larksound amplifiers is that they deliver what can be expected from lower end hearing aids. All sounds are amplified (thus I find them most useful when I am watching TV alone). Not sure how they might perform in situations where there are numerous people, but I would anticipate that the experience might be less than satisfying. My one complaint is that the on/off switch is quite difficult to engage. It seems that it takes an undo amount of force to turn the aids on. Wish it worked a bit smoother.
