Title: Best OTC hearing aids I’ve tested
Review: People noticed I was frequently saying, “What?” More than ten years ago, I bought my first pair of hearing aids. It’s one of my best purchases, ever. I could now understand what my grandchildren were telling me and once again enjoy the sounds of the creek from the deck of my cabin. Now, I’m wearing my second, newer technology set. Each pair cost about four thousand dollars. I was fortunate in having insurance that helped with the cost. When hearing aids became available at much lower costs, over-the counter, I was curious to how they compared to mine. This is the fourth I’ve tried. The first was a single, very large, hearing aid, reminiscent of the mid-1900s. The second was a pair of behind-the-ear (BTE) type. They amplified sound but little else. The third set, also BTE, were noticeably more technologically advanced. The fourth set (these) are the best so far. They are in-the-ear (ITE) type, similar to earbuds. If you use the right size ear tips of the three included, they are easy to insert and remove. I have narrow ear canals, and the smallest size is too large for me. The charging method is identical. I find the two “instruction manuals” to be minimal. About half of the thicker one (47 pages) provides the sort of technical and safety information that people rarely read. The smaller is a seven-page folder, labeled “LET’S GET STARTED.” The hearing aids have six, easily changed, volume settings. There are four, also easily changed “Hearing Programs.” These programs are not clearly described but seem to be adjustments to be “Voice Tone.” I can detect differences but don’t know how to describe them. Most important? Will users be pleased and use these hearing aids? For me, the sound quality falls somewhat short of my very expensive set. But, as the instruction manual advises, be patient. It takes a little time for your brain to adjust to the new sounds you hear. I can attest to truth of that advice. Overall, I can recommend these hearing aids.People noticed I was frequently saying, “What?” More than ten years ago, I bought my first pair of hearing aids. It’s one of my best purchases, ever. Title: Value for the money
Review: I got these rechargeable hearing aids for myself because I feel like I’m losing some hearing, but not enough to warrant a full series of visits to the doctor and costly hearing aids. The setup is really simple—there are no complicated apps to install or menus to navigate. Just charge the hearing aids in the case they come with and put them in your ear! A push button lets you adjust the volume or switch between six levels. I have been keeping these on level 1 for just a little help. That said, I do very much notice small sounds that I would not have noticed before. I am hopeful that after a few days of wearing these, my ears will filter out some of that. Normal sounds coming into my ears are crisper and noticeably clear. The digital chip does a good job of reducing background noise so that speech comes through more distinctly. I did notice that the sound of my own voice is a little odd – somewhat tinny and sounds contained within the hearing aid. Again, this might clear up some with repeated use.Comfort is another strong point. The lightweight in-ear fit is nearly invisible for a woman with long hair. I would not say it is invisible for people whose ears are not covered. The design stayed comfortable during several hours of wear without creating pressure or irritation — once I realized these came with different sizes of pads. I changed to a smaller pad when the one that it came with became uncomfortable and then I couldn’t really even feel them in my ear.Battery performance is excellent. A full charge takes about two hours and provides up to 20 hours of use. The included charging case is compact and provides two to three additional charges, which means you can go several days without worrying about plugging them in. This feature is convenient for travel and day-to-day use. The hearing aids automatically shut off and charge when they are in the case and automatically turn on when taken out of the case.

Title: Great value, they work well
Review: These little hearing aids are impressive. I pretty much only need one, but the price is low enough (especially when compared to prescription hearing aids) that it’s worthwhile for one. These hearing aids from HXGDEE seem well made. I like the charging case, which has colored lights to signal when it is charging (blue) versus completely charged (white). The ear pieces charge while in the case, which is charged separately. The case gives you 2 – 3 full charges before it needs to be recharged. The hearing aids are lightweight and are not obvious when in use. They come with a bunch of soft, comfortable tips. These do a good job of amplifying sound. These have six (independently selectable, per side) volume levels, which I really like. There are four different ‘programs’ (frequency filter profiles) which you can select independently, per side. Controls are set with a single button on each hearing aid. The buttons are very easily accessed while the hearing aids are in your ears. A short press of the button changes the volume, while long-pressing changes the frequency filter. These two hearing aids come with the charging case, twelve pairs of silicone ear tips, a short USB-C to USB-A charging cable for the case, a cleaning brush, a Quick Start guide, and Instructions. They’re easy to set up, just be sure to remove the insulating stickers from the charging contacts on the hearing aids.

Title: Don’t waist your money or time
Review: The used did not work for me. When I had them in my ears, the sound came through with a sort of echo in the background sounded almost like I was in a tunnel. Absolutely hated him so I sent them back.
