Title: Good simple hearing aids.
Review: So I’ve only used one other pair of hearing aids so I’m comparing them to those. These are simpler to set up, the app is simpler, and easier. And you get all the basics. Although the others had more features, but sacrifice for more complexity.The sound quality between the two is similar as far as I can tell. Which is a good thing as they are good enough to improve your hearing. Maybe if you spend thousand, it might be better, but my hearing isn’t bad enough for that luckily. lol.Now for some tips. Make sure you use an ear tip size that seals well. This isn’t just to get the best sound from them. But to also block out sound from coming in directly. Why would you want that you might ask? Well, there is a tiny, but noticeable delay between the sound coming in and getting amplified and sent back out. This is a physical limit, no way around that. So it sounds funny if you don’t have an ear tip that seals good as you get a slight offset in the waveforms. The instructions also warn of the potential for feedback. But I don’t have them boosting that much so I didn’t have an issue with that. The settings have an option to reduce feedback, I left it on as it sounds a bit better to me.Next, make sure you run the “fitting” test. This isn’t really a fitting test, but a hearing test. This is how you adjust the boost for different frequencies. You’ll see it increase or lower the gain for each band one at a time as it tests you. I would say be generous with saying you do t hear the tone, for the higher bands especially. Make sure the tone is clear before you say you can hear it. The resultant gain sounds much better to me that way.Other than that, you will have to mess with them in the beginning to get everything set up the best way for you. Take your time and experiment. Even if you got it sounding ok. Try some more things. Maybe you can get it better.
