Review: My granny loves it. You get two hearing aids with a charging case. 1 pair of small and medium and large earplugs to see what size fits your ear. Easy and simple set up. You can control the volume with a touch of your finger. Battery life amazing.

Title: Not prescription, but a good start for low cost hearing improvement
Review: These Gieasang Rechargeable 16-Channel Digital Hearing Aids are a great entry into low cost hearing aids. The are not professional level, mapped to an audiogram. What they are is noise cancelling sound amplifiers that look like over the ear hearing aids. Each has 3 controls. On/off, Mode (Normal, Indoor, Outdoor), and volume.They come with a charging case, and extra ear cushions in various sizes. Battery life is great and the case shows a digital charge level for each.As the instructions direct, I wore them for a few hours at first, then gradually increased the wear time. Gradually my brain adjusted to the new sounds. Trust me, they do take some getting used to! Overall, they do help me hear more clearly.One thing I found as a negative, there is not any active feedback on the volume. It would be helpful if there was a beep each time it increased/decreased and a double beep when it is at max or min.So, here is my bottom line: These are currently about $120 with a coupon. At around $200, the new AirPods Pro 2 just recently came out, with rave reviews for its hearing aid function, which is actively supported by an iPhone based audiogram. Besides the $80 price difference, their downside is they are not hidden behind the ear, so you’ll be walking around with those white shafts hanging from your ear. (my wife has said NO WAY!)The choice is yours.

Digital Hearing Aids/Amplifiers w/Noise Cancel & Volume Control, & Charging CaseThese stay charged, while in use, for about 24 hours.The recharging case charges them in/around 2 hours.The package comes with:1-charge case, 1-pair R/L hearing aids, 3-pair different sized earplugs, 1-charging cable, & and manual.You will need your own wall adapter.The S/M/L ear plugs are soft — one of the sizes will definitely work for anyone.The charge case display indicates the level of charging.There are 3 modes (M-button): Normal/Indoor/Outdoor ModesThe volume control is a dial: roll to the top = louder (+), roll towards the bottom = quieter (-)These digital amplifiers work well — the switching between modes is easy to get the hang of.The sounds are amplified loud & clear.$140, with an additional $20 off is fair for this level of amplifier.

Title: Huge, inconsistent volume and a delay
Review: It’s not all bad, but let’s talk about the bad first.They’re enormous (see photo). They’re not terribly uncomfortable, but I can feel a bulge there where I can’t on my other hearing aids.Personally, I need a high-end boost (more treble) to hear people speaking. In the “Normal” mode, this isn’t bad. In the Indoor or Outdoor mode, this high-end drops and there’s just a mid-range volume boost which doesn’t help me much.My biggest gripe is that the amplifiers tend to amplify unevenly. When I was talking with my wife or listening to TV, there was barely any help on relatively quiet conversation (when it’s most needed), but if there’s anything loud, like shouting or sound effects, the volume increase is dramatic and sometimes wincing. I don’t have an oscilloscope to test this, but it sounded like the sound was being clipped.I often felt like I was listening through a pipe, and I believe that there is an almost-imperceptible delay in the sound delivery. If I have the amplifier volumes turned up high, it almost sounds like reverb. I don’t know if this was a method of reducing real-time feedback, but I didn’t like it.I liked the packaging. It’s an attractive roundish case that charges the amplifiers without being plugged in. When charging, there is an indicator on the side to show the status.The manual is fairly well written and it appears they used a native-English speaker for the final edits. I find this rare these days.
