Title: Better than you think….
Review: I’ve been using hearing aids for 10+ years. I lost my Costco BTE, RIC, Bluetooth aids a couple of months ago and was planning on getting another pair. (1,500.00 – 1,700.00 dollars) Just out of curiosity I looked on Amazon and came across these. I was dubious that they could be any good but decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. It took me a few days to get them dialed in but they are actually better in the higher range (where I have my hearing loss) than others I have tried. I used the app and ran the hearing test and let it automatically configure the settings. I can’t comment on long term durability yet but so far, so good.

Title: Very good but not perfect
Review: These are the nineth pair of hearing aids I have purchased, all different, and including one pair of expensive aids. These are very good hearing aids. They are the best the of those nine I have purchased. I like the fact that I can customize the operation to fit what I need for hearing. I need a custom frequency response curve, which I can do with these. So far I am using the General mode and that seems to work very well. I started with the frequency response from the hearing test. After that, I told my wife to talk to me and as she did I adjusted the frequency response curve manually. I kept any setting that seemed to help with understanding what she was saying. Nice.I like the automatic turn on when removed from the case and the automatic turn off when returned to the case.I have a few complaints. Any changes are enunciated by voice but the volume of the voice is so low that I can barely hear it, and I can’t understand what she is saying. The volume of that voice is not changed by the normal volume control. The apt for controlling these is a bit funky. It takes a few minutes to say the aids are connected to WIFI, even though they are already connected. It took me a whole month to figure out how to know if the aids are connected to WIFI, or not. When the light in the aids blink, they are connected to WIFI. When wearing the aids, you can’t see that blinking light. The manual does not mention this. Turning off WIFI in the phone disconnects WIFI but then they are not useful for answering phone calls because it takes about 2 minutes to get connected again. This might work for originating phone calls but not for answering them. You only get 5 hours in WIFI mode.In addition to noise reduction, they eliminate feedback. The feedback elimination is not as quick as the old aids I was using. These produce the feedback for about 2 seconds before stopping. That is not a problem. You have to put your hands near the microphone to get feedback or have the earpiece come out of your ear. The volume level of the feedback is not terrible, as with some aids. Selecting the right size dome is essential for stopping the feedback. There are 4 modes of operation, but I haven’t evaluated them yet, other than just quickly cycling thru them. One of those modes is for people with tinnitus. I have tinnitus but I won’t be using it for that purpose. The volume of the white noise so low that I can’t hear it. I wasn’t sure it was really working, so I asked my wife to listen. She said yes it is producing white noise. That doesn’t matter. My tinnitus is not bad enough that I need help for it.Noise suppression is good but not as good as my old aids.Even with the things that don’t work quite right, these hearing aids are very useful for me.

Title: Amazing.
Review: A solidly made set of hearing aids, Bluetooth-enabled. Sound quality is excellent, volume as well, but the best feature of these hearing aids is the documentation that comes with the product. You receive an instruction book that can be easily understood, along with an app to manage the hearing aids, which also allows you to dial them in to suit your particular needs. Take care to use the provided hearing test on the app to show you where your needs are, then these needs can be easily dialed in for best performance. Recommended.

Title: Good product but not for me.
Review: I am sure they would be adequate for most hearing needs and would recommend them wholeheartedly but not for media intensive use. They “crackle” and have no lower frequencies, even using the apps EQ. I did return them and continue hunting for an economical alternative to Lexie/Bose.

Title: Impressive
Review: I am very impressed by these OTC Hearing Aids. These are the behind the ear style, and I much prefer these to the in-ear style. These hearing aids are comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. They come with a charging case that indicates the level of charge for each individual aid. Now I am only hearing impaired in my left ear, so I only need to wear one of these hearing aids. But these are designed so you can wear just one or both. These have a bluetooth app you can use to control your hearing aids. You do not need the app for day to day use, as these particular hearing aids are actually easier to adjust using the buttons on the behind the ear piece. A short press adjusts volume, while a long press adjusts mode. But you really DO need the app for the most crucial part of using these: adjusting the aids to compensate for your individual frequency deficits. You do this by running the Hearing Test in the app. I suggest you run that test at least three times for best results, once to learn how to run it, a second time to set the frequencies more accurately, and a third time after you have worn the aid(s) for a day or two. You can tweak those settings at any time using the app. The 4th from last photo submitted with this review is a screenshot of that adjustment screen in the app. (The rest of the photos show what comes in the box, and what is inside the manual. The last 4 are screenshots from the app itself.)There are a few negatives, of course. But all are fairly minor. I have had the aid change modes on me for apparently no reason. When that occurs, you do hear the new mode repeated in the hearing aid, so it’s easy to reset it using the button on the aid. I also seem to have to repair the aid every time I open the app. This is a minor thing, as these aids pair extremely easily. I have also had some feedback issues, but those have been few and far between. If you are getting a lot of feedback, it’s likely that the aid is not sitting correctly in your ear canal, and is either too far in or not far enough in. If you are getting constant feedback, it’s likely you are using the wrong size tip, so try changing to a different size from those included in the box.I waited to write this review until I had a chance to test these in a “looped” environment. To connect to the loop, simply change the mode to “music” using a long press on the volume down button, and until you hear the aids say “music.” These connected well to the hearing loop, and you should definitely use this mode at theatres to better hear the content.Overall, these are great OTC hearing aids with all the features you need in a hearing aid, and easy customization. The price is such that these are affordable to many, and especially those who lack insurance or the funds to pay for an audiology exam. They have a great battery life, are comfortable to wear, and do not have a huge learning curve. And they made me realize that my hearing loss was greater than I thought. I like being able to hear a lot of what I used to miss, as well as run my TV at a lower volume setting.
