Title: Quality product!
Review: I didn’t want to spend money (this much😊) on this product that I thought I only need for one project!! I didn’t have a choice because I needed the fastest shipping possible for a soldering project and this one was the only available. I’m so happy I did!!! The 10x magnifying glass is perfect, the light is bright but not annoying and adjustable, the magnetic helping arms have very strong magnetic hold and have silicone on their tips so they don’t cause scratches or damage and hold up to the heat as well. There are two options to attach the magnifying glass. You can clamp it to your table or to the metal plate that the kit comes with. Btw the plate have a good weight to it and feels very sturdy. I’m actually realizing now how many more projects I’m going to be able to use it for!! Highly recommend this product!

Title: Really nice build quality, seller stands behind the product
Review: After some initial logistical issues, I’ve had the opportunity to really put this helping hands station through its paces, and thanks to the seller’s fantastic service, my issues were resolved quickly. So here’s the review I really wanted to write all along:I do a fair bit of soldering on electronics, but also painting of D&D and Battletech miniatures. A wide, stable, heavy base and sturdy, well-articulated arms are an absolute must for holding the miniatures stable during painting fine details. This helping hands station fits the bill so well, that not only does the base not move around on me unless I am intentionally doing so, but the arms are so sturdy and stable that I forget they are secured with magnets at the base. When repositioning the miniatures into different angles by twisting and bending the arms, they never so much as shift on the base, and once I have them in position, they hold steady and stable. I really wrench on those flexible arms a lot, and they handle the twisting fantastically. The rubber sleeves over the jaws of the clips are soft, durable, and very high-friction. I was able to reposition the models in the jaws as-needed, and they always locked firmly back in place when I was done. Never once did I even consider that the minis might slip out or fall – I was able to fully focus on keeping my brush stable and on-target. The magnifier arm is properly countered with good springs, and the joint friction is easily adjusted with twist knobs that tighten one bolt on each joint. I was able to add just enough friction so that the arm stayed in position, without being fully-locked in place, allowing me to reposition any time I needed to get a different angle on what I was doing. Also, the magnification is excellent, making it possible to perform really fine detail work on something as tiny as the D&D scale miniatures (they make Warhammer Heroic Scale minis look huge by comparison). The magnification was enough that my 4/0 brush looked as massive as a 4 brush without magnification.I honestly wouldn’t have been able to paint this pictured mini properly without the use of this station. I’m very happy that the seller reached out to fix the problem I encountered, and I’m completely pleased to give this a 5-star review. I can’t recommend this product enough.

Title: Works great. Great price. Well made.
Review: I love this thing. Easy to assemble. Works great. Holds electronics well. The LED light is versatile because you can mount it on the plate or on the desk. Clips are big and well made. Great price.

Title: A Worthwhile Addition to An Electronics Repair Workbench (with a possible caveat)
Review: Maybe mine was a one-off fluke, but the swivel attachment for the base was not completely tapped through, so the thumb threaded knob would not go more than 2 threads into the base (pic 1-2). It could not hold, or prevent the arm from being easily pulled out. If you should get one of these, I’ll save you some time – it is an M4x0.7 thread that needs to be tapped through (result is pic 3). You are welcome. I though that I needed to remove the plastic insert to complete the tap, but I’m not certain that was necessary – and it is was quite difficult to pry out! Also, throw away the Allen wrench that is supplied and use your own. It is safer and you can make it properly tight to attach this same partially threaded swivel attachment to the large base. Theirs slipped out and was stripped with just moderate tightening (pic 5).I did notice, as a reviewer before me did, that there is fairly significant optical aberration/distortion around the outer edges of the lens. Not bad enough to prevent me from doing my work, but was annoying and makes it somewhat difficult when working on more than 1″ to 1-1/2″ area. Now the good stuff: The arm has multiple points where the angle can be locked to prevent movement once you have determined the correct position. It is fairly stable. The base is large enough and heavy enough to prevent the weight of the lens and LED ring from toppling over. The magnets hold the “helping hands” extremely well. The depth of field for the lens is just enough to be able to perform some serious work with a soldering pencil under it (pic 6). Pics 7-8 are a comparison of a cell phone view vs the 5x lens on the workstation. Not bad! The manual is pics 9-10….not much to write home about. But, the best part is last…..5 different light settings! Great! If you never never used used a feature like this before, and do electronics repair, you are in for a treat. Oftentimes there is a spot that is difficult to see that simply JUMPS out at you when you change the lighting spectrum color. The spectrums that are available here bear this out (pics 11-15).In spite of the miss-threading, this little gem has earned its place on my workbench…..but their QC needs beefing up a bit.

Title: Useful lighted magnifier
Review: Very useful workstation. I use as table lamp also. The magnetic surface is strong and the alligator arms are stiff. The adjustable led let me adjust warm or daylight and brightness.

Title: Beefy and Sturdy, Great Magnifier and Lighting
Review: Very beefy and sturdy helping hands. The magnifier is HUGE. The lights are terrific and adjustable in both color and brightness. It is a very LARGE item though and will take up a considerable portion of your workspace.

Title: Well made.
Review: Oh wow. Definitely a favorite of mine. The sturdiness of this thing is just outstanding. It makes my soldering so much easier and fun again. No more resorting to acrobats. Assembling it was fast and straight forward. Had it up in just a few minutes. I love the varying level led lamp and the 10x magnifier. Overall just a great quality product!
