Review: The helping soldiering with magnifying glass is heavy duty constructed, made of durable materials and easy to assemble with as little as 1 minute. Clamps for holding circuitry are sturdy, fastened to flexible arms and easy to use. The magnifying glass is clear and shows 10 times zoom for clarity. The base is thick metal and coated.

Title: Sucks
Review: I hate this thing. I wanted to use it for my keycaps (I make artisan keycaps using polymer clay) and I just thought it would save my hands from clenching onto a tool to hold the keycap (it’s a whole thing making artisan caps) but the arms loosen up from the base at the slightest movement and just continue to unscrew and wiggle around they’re awful.

Title: For low enough money it’s worth it as a helping hand.
Review: Well, I was surprised that the bendy arms are stiff, and made from mostly metal – so that’s great.The two alligator clips are merely electrical alligator clips. That’s good I guess – should be easy to replace. You can spin them on their axis then use the lock-down wing-screw to hold them in place.The base is metal.I suggest using blue loctite, or thread locker, on the three machine screws that hold the arms upright. (OR – use three lock washers?) While using the stand without thread locker I had an arm just come loose. Now I did use a better screwdriver than the small one that came with the kit, but for some reason I did not feel like I could get the screws hand tight enough where it would have been fine without thread locker.
