Review: “Single most important tool for watch repair for this hobby!” — Yes, a bold claim, but here’s my reasoning.If you can’t see it, then you’ll:—fail to seat it properly—scratch it—strip it—install it improperly—get frustrated—be forced to incur the expense & delay or ordering additional partsTrust me, I speak from personal experience.Three (3) things you need for this hobby are (1) patience, (2) lighting, and (3) magnification—this product squarely addresses the latter, especially if you already wear glasses!Highly recommend!

Title: Garbage mounting
Review: The good news first- these loupes have good quality optics.The bad news?The loupes are mounted on stiff, paperclip gauge material and are not really adjustable. When I mount it to my frame, the viewing area is between the two prescriptions of my bifocals.That is, when it actually stays mounted to the frame. There is a tiny spring clamp with a vinyl coating that the user is supposed to mount this thing to their glasses with… provided that the vinyl stays in place. Which it doesn’t. So, you choose- your $300 glasses or this $15 loupe.Don’t forget this- you may not notice that the cheap and poorly secured vinyl slips off of the clip and the next time you put the loupe on, you’ll put a scratch in your lens, frame or both. I needed a hands-free loupe for work, and this failed miserably.

Title: Decent for a budget.
Review: The magnification does not seem to be as advertised. Without tools to measure, it feels like 5x and 7.5x magnification. However, the clips are solid, the glass is flat and clear. It’s about a 2.5 -3 quality loope. I still find myself using them regularly, so worthwhile in spite of the difference. And especially for the price.

Title: Only for super close work
Review: I bought these to do beadwork – unfortunately you have to be ‘extremely’ close to the item or they are just blurry. They also didn’t stay clipped to my glasses very well and it was difficult to get them aligned for me eye.

Title: Both are actually 5X, not 10X and 20X
Review: The loups came in individual small boxes. One box was labeled 10X, the other was labeled 20X. There was no magnification label on either loupe.Neither loupe is the magnification advertised. The magnification of both loupes exactly matches two 5X loupes I already had. They seem to be good 5X quality, as the images are sharp, but they are not 10X and 20X as advertised.
