Title: The Ultimate Home Automation Hub for Power Users and Beginners Alike
Review: If you’re serious about home automation and want a system that can handle anything you throw at it, this hub is an absolute must-have. It’s incredibly powerful and versatile, but let me start with a fair warning: to truly unlock its full potential, you’ll need to be somewhat technical. That said, the fantastic online community is a game-changer. They’ve created guides, shared ideas, and answered every question I’ve had, making it possible for anyone with some patience and curiosity to succeed. Now, onto what this device can do. The short answer? If you can dream it, it can do it. Here’s a rundown of some of the endless possibilities:1. Integrate Everything: It works seamlessly with a huge range of devices—Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and even older protocols like IR with the right integrations. Lights, thermostats, locks, sensors, cameras—you name it, this hub ties them all together into one cohesive ecosystem.2. Advanced Automation: From basic scheduling to highly complex “if-this-then-that” scenarios, the automation options are endless. For example, I’ve set it up so that my outdoor lights turn on at sunset, my thermostat adjusts automatically based on motion detection, and even my coffee maker starts brewing as soon as I disarm the alarm in the morning.3. Local Control: Unlike many other systems, this hub focuses on local processing, which means faster response times and greater reliability. Plus, you don’t have to rely on cloud services, giving you added security and control over your devices.4. Custom Dashboards: The ability to create personalized dashboards is amazing. I’ve set up a central touchscreen in my kitchen where I can control everything in my house at a glance, from lights to cameras to sensors. It’s super convenient and looks pretty cool too!5. Energy Savings: With smart automation, I’ve been able to optimize energy usage. For instance, lights and fans turn off automatically when no one is in a room, and the thermostat adjusts when doors or windows are open.6. Enhanced Security: I’ve integrated it with door locks, motion sensors, and cameras to create a comprehensive security system. I get instant notifications if anything unusual happens, and I can automate actions like turning on lights and sounding alarms if a door is opened unexpectedly at night.7. Endless Customization: This is where the real power lies. You can write custom rules, create virtual devices, and even use third-party apps and integrations to expand its capabilities. Whether it’s voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant, integrating with other platforms like HomeKit, or creating your own scripts, the sky’s the limit. While the setup can be a bit overwhelming at first, the online community and support resources make it manageable. If you’re willing to put in the effort, this hub will reward you with a home automation experience that’s second to none.Bottom line: Whether you’re a power user who loves tinkering or a beginner looking for a robust system that can grow with your needs, this device is an incredible investment. It’s fast, reliable, and capable of things I didn’t even think were possible before. If you’re ready to take full control of your smart home, this is the hub to get!

Title: Works reliably, covers most Zwave, Zigbee and Matter devices and doesn’t need an Internet connection
Review: I now have 3 of these for different properties. Was a firm supporter of the isy994 and eisy devices, but unreliability of switching zwave devices on and off made me try a Hubitat. I’ve been very happy with the performance, reliability and speed so I dropped the eisy (which is a lot more expensive) and bought more of these. Hubitat continue to provide software updates and device adds. I’ve only had one (very old) zwave device fail to connect correctly. All my zwave, zigbee and now, Matter devices have worked well. Programming is fairly sophisticated, meeting most of my needs. The eisy has slightly more powerful programming capabilities, but reliability wins out every time! One limitation to be aware of is for Matter devices, the Hubitat cannot commission them onto your network. For that you need a more recent Alexa device or something else. Once commissioned, the Hubitat manages them fine.Lastly I wanted a device that doesn’t need to be connected to the internet to work – Hubitat doesn’t require it – you can connect locally on your network for maint purposes or for a couple of bucks a month access it remotely via Hubitat’s cloud.

Title: Losing connection
Review: The Hubitat worked well for about 5 months. All of a sudden, the unit started to malfunction, where the Hubitat app could not connect to the unit. I would need to power cycle the unit to reset the connection. This keeps on happening every two days or so. I sent Hubitat a support email and I haven’t heard back from them. Hence the one star.

Title: So easy to use.
Review: I like the fact that I got it working right away. My home came with a ring system that I never activated. I did not want the ring system to data mine my home. This hubitat was able to program most of my ring items I had in the home without selling out my personal information. I was able to use devices from many different brands. It was so easy to set up. Their forum is really good. I was never able to post any questions on the forum because just about every device i had someone had already wrote a walk through.Once I went to the forum I was able to understand more about how it works. At first I thought I had been ripped off because it seemed like I had to pay to use this thing. You do not have to pay to use this. It works without the pay plan. There is a pay plan however and all it does is allow you to configure it remotely. If you configure it while you are at home within your network it lets you do it for free.I have no need to configure this away from my home so for me it was no issue. I love the fact that it does not steal my information to sell it. I feel like my privacy has been respected. I love the fact that it stays in your network. If the internet is down I can still control it. It it not like the other systems where all it does is data mine everything you do and then it does not work when some companys server is down. Why would i want my smart home to be dependent on some company’s server? This one does not. This one is independent. I love it, I recommend it to everyone.

Title: Infinite possibilities, good hardware, not user or beginner friendly
Review: Home automation is a mess. There are too many standards around. I started my journey with vera then wink and eventually decided to leave wink, long overdue. In short, users have to balance the level of control and automation with the user experience. If you want something that is highly customizable, it will not be user friendly. And here we are. From a hardware standpoint, it works well. I was able to exclude z wave devices from and old hub and re include on Hubitat, it’s a process but it works. The range seems fine. The software… allows for infinite possibilities but the interface is ugle and it is fairly complicated.Do not buy if you want something easy, plug and play. Buy if you are ok doing some research, reading, watching videos and want some complex automations. For the appearance, I added home assistant and linked Hubitat to it. Not easy but it works. You can also integrate Hubitat with google home, which make everything much easier.

Review: This is one of the best home automation hubs. I bought the C-8 Pro as un upgrade to my C-7 hub. The upgrade went well but I had real trouble getting the Zigbee network to go online. It took a couple of downgrades and upgrades before the Zigbee network came online. It’s been flawless ever since. Hubitat Elevation is one of the best hubs that work without the cloud and that will continue to work even when your internet is down.

Review: I control things installed into household electrical boxes with this because I can simply include the hubitat with the house if we sell it. It works as expected and quickly. Documentation is pretty good.

Review: Works great, but you need to be patient when pairing; it can be slow. I contacted the service department for help, but they never got back to me.So this is why I did not give a 5 star rating.Service department needs to know you can have a very good product but it service is not good the customer will never buy another unit. Service sells!
