Title: I use this for viewing knife edge after sharpening.
Review: the total depth of focus is rather narrow, and you have to hold it very close to the object you are viewing. But its a great, cheap, fully functional tool for viewing the edges of knives and chisels after sharpening them.

Review: I’ve purchased it just to have it handy for personal use at home. I’m not a pro in this. So it works just perfect for me. Is clear and well built. Feels very solid. Love it. Purchased one for my friend too. Will not be a good fit if you need it to spot a really small imperfections and to evaluate a color or clarity as the lens might distort a bit. However it is perfect for what I’ve got it for and I’m very happy. If it happens so I loose it or damage it I’ll just go and buy it again with no hesitation.

Title: Slight defect
Review: This is a good value for the money, but mine had a slight defect. The loop for attaching a neck chain or key chain was solid and required drilling out the hole with a small metal bit so I could put a cord through the hole. All else is very functional and decent lens.

Review: Love the gold color. Magnification and clarity good. If you’re using for jewelry and like to hold the loupe with your 2nd knuckle wrapped around, BEWARE — the hole is not large enough for the 2nd knuckle to get through. If you hold it with your 1st knuckle it’s fine.Mine had a small chip in the glass. But for what I use it for, it’s fine.

Title: Can’t live without this thing
Review: I bought this to replace the last one someone swiped. This is a cheaper version, but does the job just fine! When I have to see that nagging clear thread remaining from a shirt tag that’s bugging the hell out of me, I get this thing out and I can find it. I can find all sorts of other minuscule stuff, too.

Title: good things come in small packages
Review: This is a very nice magnifier. The finish is quality…the fit is tight… the optic glass is clear. I purchased this to add to my back country hiking gear for viewing fine detail on maps. I suppose it would also be handy as part of a first aid kit or other useful purposes. I was surprised that it came packaged in a small plastic box for safe keeping (+++ nice touch). At the price, perfect. Would also make a nice gift.

Title: Great loop for the price!
Review: I am going into an old silver mine in northern Nicaragua that has not been worked for at least 150 years. It has several types of minerals and rich silver ore. I am looking for ores, and material of semi precious minerals for jewelry. I have already found amethyst, schorl, and epidote. Using the loup deep inside the mine will be helpful. May also be some wire gold in some of the structures, as there is alluvial gold in the river right next to the mine shaft.. A great loup is really useful in activities such as this. Review: This item works as expected and was shipped quickly, arriving on time. Made of steel and glass, the build quality is uniformly excellent. Feels like it will last for a long time to come. Due to the nature of the lens, the focal plane is necessarily shallow but, for what you pay, it gives excellent detail. The small storage case was also a nice touch. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality handheld 30X loupe.Update: As of June 19, 2020 this 30x loupe is still working perfectly three years after purchase.
