Title: Rounded up to a 4 star
Review: The story has a good premise. The author hooks you in from the first chapter. This book is adrenaline packed and didn’t have any dullness to it. It was well written and enjoyable. I would’ve preferred some deeper exploration into some characters and it was left on sort of a leave it up to the reader to decide ending. The dots connected for me early on yet I found myself doubting I was correct in my line of thinking and at the end it turned out to be true. So I thoroughly liked the authors way of throwing the reader off the path if you followed it the way I did. What I liked about the story is that it’s somewhat believable and relatable. I’m a middle aged married woman /and mom with teenage daughters, live in a low crime affluent area without a career. My eldest is strikingly beautiful and while I fully admire her looks and personality, it’s also a stark reminder how fast life truly goes by and how opportunities seem endless as does attention from others as we age. I find myself wishing I’d done things differently at her age yet I am so hopeful and proud of the beautiful young woman (who still looks like a little girl to me ) has turned out. What I didn’t like about this book is the author is clearly a white liberal woman. The worst! Politics and insanity aside, I did enjoy this book.

Title: Worth your time to read of you like thrillers
Review: At times it was difficult to imagine that the drama could be true. You really are kept in suspense until the end. I did wonder about the pink hair. Areal page turner. The author has quite an imagination.

Title: Riveting with plot twists
Review: I enjoyed the book and it was well written with great plot twists and well developed characters; however, I gave it three stars due to the author’s apparent need to take jabs at conservatives, Evangelical Christians and our country. Her first “jab” was at the Christian’s propensity of teaching young people abstinence (the only birth control that is 100% effective and 100% free) instead of promoting abortion. She actually called out Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol, a girl who became a teen mom and chose to keep her baby. She later ridiculed the mother of her daughter’s school friend, an Evangelical Christian, for offering prayers, yet later mentioned prayers and miracles for her daughter’s healing. I guess she missed his hypocritical that is, and doesn’t understand that we Evangelical Christians read and enjoy novels too. She later apparently felt compelled to slam our healthcare system and said they should have moved to Canada. Perhaps she should, but she should bear in mind that if their healthcare system is so great, why do 65% of their citizens purchase additional insurance for things their system doesn’t cover, or cross our border for treatment in our country? The sad thing is that her jabs overshadowed an otherwise good book. I am steeped in politics everyday and involved in civil, and sometimes not so civil debates. I read novels to escape, not to have someone’s political leanings and positions pushed at me. The subtle jabs had zero to do with any of the entangled plots nor did they enhance the story in any way. In the end, the mother she ridiculed did give vital information in resolving the mystery, but her “Christian status” had zero to do with it. What a shame to put a cloud over an otherwise great book with distracting comments, just to make a political statement or point.

Title: A suspenseful novel that you can’t put down
Review: I was genuinely impressed by the writing style and the intricate twists and turns throughout the story—it was an engaging and thoroughly enjoyable read. However, there were two aspects that didn’t quite resonate with me. First, the frequent use of overly elaborate vocabulary felt somewhat excessive. In moments where characters are recounting events, a more natural tone might have made their voices feel more authentic. Second, the ending felt unresolved. Unless a sequel is planned, it left me wishing for answers. The ending was not closure. I still enjoyed the book though. She is a great author.

Title: Great Thriller
Review: oday on “Y’all Have to Read This,” I have a fantastic thriller for you — one that had my heart racing and my jaw on the floor. “In Her Eyes” by Sarah Alderson is an absolute standout. The story centers on Ava and her family, who seem to be living the perfect life until it all shatters one night. Ava is married to geeky Robert, and together they share two daughters plus Robert’s son from a previous marriage. The older two are in college with vastly different results. Hannah is thriving in New York, making grades and friends with ease, while Gene has completely flamed out and spends his days sulking on the couch above the garage, smoking weed, and doing absolutely nothing. Thanks to Robert’s past success in tech, the family doesn’t need to worry about money. But Ava’s worries lie elsewhere. Their youngest, twelve-year-old June, is a sweet girl who’s already beaten cancer once. Ava can’t shake the feeling that their good fortune is temporary, that something terrible is waiting around the corner. And then, it happens. A violent home invasion leaves Ava injured and June fighting for her life. In the aftermath, Ava must uncover what really happened and why by digging through secrets, lies, and betrayals buried deep within her own family. What she finds is more shocking than she could ever imagine.I tore through this book in under two hours. It gripped me from the first page and never let go. By the end, I was exhausted, furious, and relieved, all at once. The twists and turns? You will not see them coming.⭐ Five stars from me, This book is an absolute must-read! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
