Title: nice phone until it died
Review: I bought this phone in May 2022. I liked it a lot. It’s small, doesn’t take up a lot of desk space, is easily moved around. I like the Earth Day Green color too. The sound quality is fine—better that the Clarity phone I had before. My only only complaints are that the ringer was not as loud as I would like and the lever to turn the phone off and on is quite small and I think that some older people might have a hard time moving it. All was well until one day last week when there was a loud buzzing on the line. Century Link sent out a technician who checked the wires inside and out and said that the problem could have come from a recent rain/thunderstorm. After repairing any outside damage he checked my line with his phone and it was fine but my phone still did not work. He said, at that point, that my phone was broken.I had fortunately, I thought, bought an extended warrently through Asurion on Amazon but they told me that the policy did not cover this damage (?!) They did say that they would refund the cost of the policy and directed me to contact the manufacturer of the phone. I do not see anyplace on their website to contact them. If the manufacturer or distributor reads this, please tell me how to contact you. I still like this model and may buy another. Perhaps the manufacturere will make things right.

Title: Excellent choice for elderly with mid-stage dementia
Review: Princess phones are usually described as cute and retro. Maybe the target market is people who miss the 1960s or who wish they’d lived then. But there’s another, even more important, market for this type of phone: people with dementia. My 84-year-old mom is in the middle stages of an Alzheimer’s-like dementia. Recently she moved into assisted living, and she had to provide her own phone. Cell phones have way too many (and too tiny) buttons for people with cognitive challenges. Regular phones also have unnecessary buttons, and many models have integral answering systems, which are mysterious and unusable for people like my mom. Cordless phones, like cell phones, also have the disadvantage of being easily misplaced and forgotten. So a corded phone with minimal buttons is the way to go. Picture phones, on which each button has a photo of a loved one, instead of a number, sounded good to me till I read reviews saying these phones make it too easy for the caller to dial the same person repeatedly all day long. I wanted Mom to have a basic, simple, old-style phone that required punching in the numbers, but that had no other options on it. Also Mom loves pink. So I bought this phone. It’s perfect: a short cord, a minimum of buttons, nothing confusing anywhere on it, it rings loudly, and it’s pink. Someday Mom won’t be able to push the buttons and make calls, but by that time she may not know what a phone is anyway. Tragically, that’s the reality of dementia. But meanwhile, this is the ideal phone for her. I recommend that people who need to buy a phone for a senior with mid-stage dementia seriously consider this little princess phone.

Review: Item arrived quickly. The phone is basic and easy to use with large buttons. It is very lightweight however and pulls easily off the desk-top. It also needs a longer cord between the handset and phone base. Otherwise works as expected.

Review: My Mother has greatly diminished eyesight and could not manage the buttons on her other phone. This is so basic, she can’t mess it up. The buttons are big enough she can see them okay.
