Title: Works and comes with tools
Review: Initial impression: It definitely works. My kindle low battery screen resolved and was replaced with the normal kindle screen. Like others said it’s a bit of a chore getting the kindle screen open but you can easily look up videos that show you how to do it. Importantly, it DOES come with tools so you don’t need to buy a separate kit, I’m not sure why that hasn’t been mentioned yet. I saw some concerns about durability so I will be back to update on how long it lasts, but for now five stars from me.

Title: Didn’t work for my Kindle
Review: Bought this battery to replace the battery of a kindle that I had left dead for a long time. When I opened everything up and connected it the screen came on but the touch function did not work. It was at 41% state of charge and I plugged the kindle in and left it to charge. After several hours the state of charge dropped down to 30%. I am going through the return process and will be looking else where.Battery 26S1019Kindle J9G29R

Title: Disappointed in My Kindle, but Rescued It
Review: It saved my Kindle. I have no idea how long it will last, but at least I’m extending the life of my Kindle for the time being. I had to pry it apart, not an easy chore, and buy a special tool to unscrew the tiny screws. I would have never bought a Kindle if I knew it’s basically only a two year gadget destined for the landfill. It definitely was not made to replace the battery, but I succeeded in spite of the design. I gave it a 3 because I have not idea how long it will last.

Title: Tested to about 700mAh
Review: I bench tested this for an accurate mAh rating. It was not installed in a device which would make it hard to determine how well it worked.Seldom do Li-ion batteries test to close to their rating and this one was no exception. I ran a 5 charge/discharge test on this and it was consistently around 700mAh. So it was a little less than 80% of the stated capacity which may be fine for some uses if it is an easy replacement and you get this at a low enough price.Most more expensive name-brand rechargeable batteries get 85% or better in my tests.
