Title: Good value, good quality, bright light, good magnification, good lens size.
Review: This is a good value for a good quality, larger sized, handheld magnifying glass with a strong, bright LED light.Note that this is primarily a standard, removable battery powered light. It takes 2 standard AAA batteries (not included). It isn’t rechargeable. You do get a USB ended plug in cord. It’s not to charge it and can’t charge it. You can however plug the USB end into a USB power source, plug in or power bank (no electrical plug-in adapter is included). It will use the electric power through the USB cable to power it while it is plugged in.But it will not and cannot charge it. If you wanted to use rechargeable batteries, you would have to charge them outside of the magnifying glass. They state that plugging it in for use does not charge the batteries and that it will run off of the plug-in vs the battery while it is plugged inIt has a stand that you can set it in for use over objects or when reading. You simply set it in the stand and adjust the angle as needed. You can adjust the angle when you are holding it as well, not just in the stand. You can also use is at as a small light while in the stand either facing downward or outward. The LED is very bright and powerful with 18 built in LED lights. It’s an impressive amount of light and it lights up the area well. There are 3 light colors, cold (cool), warm, and mixed. The warm light is very amber toned. I prefer the cold and mixed color tones. You must turn the LED light off and on with a button press. You also press the button to select the color. The magnification area is large. If you look closely in the listing pictures they have pictures with measurements. The circular area of magnification inside the frame, as the usable area is 3.01” across and 3.01” tall (in a circle).Size: (see the listing pictures)-Total length: 8.46”-Width at base of the handle: 1.18”-Magnifying lens width: 3.01”-Magnifying lens height: 3.01”-Total width around the frame of the lens: 4.09”The magnification lens is acrylic, not glass. The magnification is fairly standard at 3X (3 times magnification). It’s not a super strong magnifying magnifier. It may not be magnifying enough for some applications and for some people.I did find it sufficiently magnifying for my eyes. I used it without glasses and instead of my 2.75 or 3 power magnification reading or magnification glasses (the measurement for reading glasses or bifocals). The handle is larger and easy to hold and grasp during use. The batter compartment is built into the handle and has a removable cover. It’s fairly lightweight and the body is plastic.Instructions are included. No storage case or bag is included.I didn’t notice any odor or scent to it. I would consider it safe for those sensitive to odors and scents.

Title: Simple and effective
Review: I found myself liking this more than my fancier bulky magnifier set up which I use for dremel drilling small items. The reason is because it takes up very little space and I don’t have to wrangle it. I can easily set it in front of my eyes while still having plenty of room for both hands and arms on either side. With the stand, it only weighs just under 6 ounces. The little stand does a decent job of holding up the magnifier even when in full bent position, just make sure the sticking out foot part points the same way as the bend of the glass head. Also you’ll want to check your chair height compared to your table height to make sure that 5 inches above the desk is a good height for your magnifier, although if your chair is adjustable, that will solve most problems. The stand has an option to hang it on a nail perhaps put at the edge of a bench, although I may well glue a strong magnet to the edge of my table and also the base stand and use that as a quick attachment point.Overall the construction of this feels decent and durable. Unlike many magnifiers, the magnifying strength is correctly listed as 3X which is what you’d use for most types of work, increasing the apparent size of items to approximately 3 times larger. The magnifier head bends to your preferred angle and stays where you place it effectively. The main con I have for this item is that the light function could be brighter, it does not add a lot beyond the ambient lighting. It’s still enough to work as needed though. Also in a perfect world, they’d make the ‘on’ button a bit larger and easier to find. However it’s only currently $10 which is super low cost so I can’t complain too much. Really this unit is fully functional as a standing magnifier and also will work as a hand held. Especially if you are really trying to keep costs down, this would be a great go to option and I think it’s great value for the money.

Title: Decent magnifying glass that is easy on your eyes
Review: I acquired this magnifying glass as a gift for my elderly father who sometimes needs a bit of help looking at things up close. He literarily enjoys reading the fine print, so when I saw this magnifying glass, I thought we could check it out. The glass itself is fairly decent in quality and you can get good magnification of items you are looking at. The LED ring on the parameter allows you to cycle through different temperature colors. While I tend to just stay on on color temperature, I could see how you might want to change the color based on the background you are viewing. The lights are powered by either two AAA batteries or a plug in via a USB cable. No AC plug is included, though. The device does not have a rechargeable battery unfortunately. It does come with a base for standing the unit upright, or you can use the double sided tape (included) to mount the base to the wall for either access or a space you want to permanently use at. The head of the glass does bend down for looking at things if you are sitting down and looking at an object, which great for small repairs or working on crafts. The plastic is ok, given the price range. My only small issue is that there are no rechargeable built in batteries. Other than that, it’s a decent magnifying glass that could be used for a variety of purposes.
