Title: Bought for viewing leaves
Review: I bought this for looking at stuff on my newly planted lychee tree’s leaves. I have to max rate it for the price, simplicity, and being made of metal, but I can’t say whether the magnification is as advertised or not. I have no idea. The one I received was clearly a return, but I didn’t mind and cleaned it up easily, most of the text wore off after one day of use.I still have great difficulty figuring out what bugs I’m looking at, but I’ve since realized that I should care most about the health of the trees’ roots and from there the tree will eventually manage itself. I didn’t plan to ever use pesticides or anything anyway, but I wanted to know whether certain things would be best manually removed or not.I think I did see spider mites once, and I was able to verify lacewing eggs and their hatching. There’s still some kind of cocoon, egg sac, or something that I have NO idea about. It would definitely be much easier to use the loupe indoors, where there isn’t wind or evening sun reflections. At first I wished I’d gotten one with a flashlight, but after some more use, I doubt I would actually use it much. So… I’m happy with this purchase after some time with it, and hopefully I’ll find some more uses for it in the future too.
