Title: Excellent for reading small print.
Review: This is a plastic Fresnel lens, not a magnifying glass. It will not light a fire, burn your name into a wooden fence, or fry ants with focused sunlight.The rectangular shape makes it good for reading entire paragraphs and even some whole pages of small books (about paper-back novel size), versus enlarging a few words at a time as you move a circular convex lens across a page. It is almost distortion free – just a little at the edges. I have several 19th Century books with incredibly small print (4-point and 6-point) and read them quite comfortably with this magnifier.

Title: Convenient but coverage is less than expected
Review: This is listed as a full page magnifier but it seems to cover a little smaller area than a full page. When viewing a page, there are distortions radiating out from the center. Not exactly the best or clearest but works okay for my needs. It is easy to hold and very lightweight and is convenient to have close by.

Title: Very good value for money
Review: 15X magnification is excellent with little to no distortion. It has 12 leds which are extremely bright and it only takes 2 AA batteries (they are not included). The handle feels sturdy and it is lightweight in the hand. The battery compartment is on the back of the handle and the battery compartment opening slides downwards to open and upwards to close. It has a switch on the front of the handle which can be activated with a thumb, up to switch on and down to switch off.. The actual glass is just over 3 inches in diameter the length is just over 8 inches and width at the top is just over 4 inches. Optimal distance from the text would be about 4 to 6 inches but that depends on a person’s eyesight and variables. A very good value at this price.

Title: Invest in something better.
Review: Overall build quality is pretty good. It is heavier than one would expect, even without the 2 AA batteries. LED is just ok. It’s not actually that bright or useful because of this. However, this product fails at what it is made to do… Magnifying! The magnification is terrible because the glass quality is terrible. The viewable area on the glass is actually only a 1″ radius in the center of the glass, the rest of the view in the middle to outer perimeter of the glass is blurry, no matter how close or far away it is to the viewed object. It’s useless! I’m going to have to return this item due to it inability to be used for magnification purposes.
