Title: Great audio (aid) quality, average BT quality – lots of great features
Review: I’m really happy with these JVC hearing aids. I’ve been fortunate to be able to test a bunch of different over the counter hearing aids over the past year, and this one ranks in the top few I’ve used. Granted they have a steeper price tag, but there are some wonderful features. Many of the aids I’ve tried are for mild to moderate, but this one is also well suited for mild to severe hearing loss. I love the fact that you can connect just one at a time. My elderly father is fully deaf in one ear so he only uses one aid. Other brands I’ve tried give an error if you don’t have both hearing aids in your ear, but this one works great. The sound quality for regular sound is awesome. Bluetooth is just average – I’ve had other brands that sound just like a music earbud, but these weren’t as good. The app lets you change to the standard hearing modes for different situations, and is straight-forward and easy to use.I especially like that you can fine tune your hearing aid based on your doctor’s hearing test, and adjust each of the frequency groups. This part of the app is much better than other ones that I’ve tried. The device itself is easy to use and comfortable. However it is very small and delicate. This might be perceived as better, but a 90 year old with arthritic hands will have difficulty putting it on and getting the tube over the ear and ear domes in. I appreciate the delicate construction and lightweight components, but sometimes a larger format is easier to use for old hands. All in all, these are a wonderful pair of hearing aids with lots of great features, relatively easy to use, with high quality output.

Title: overpriced junk
Review: I have tested several hearing aids on Amazon and this is a high-end that’s at the bottom of the list for performance. The app is garbage. It barely works. And the real kicker is you cannot have a two-way conversation with your cell phone. Using these headphones you can get no audio.

Title: Excellent audio and iPhone handsfree calling
Review: I have used hearing aids for about ten years – two different prescription devices that each lasted about 5 years. The JVC OTC aids are entirely comparable to my last Jabra units with small variations.First the good: they do a very good job amplifying and equalizing for my ears. They actually are louder and with less distortion than the Jabra set that cost nearly $3000. It is critical to be sure they are pushed all the way into the ear canal – but properly inserted they work great. The battery lasts all day and then some – even when streaming. The iPhone hands free mode was useless on the Jabra set – the caller could never hear me. On these units the hands free works flawlessly – people I’m speaking with report that I am loud and clear. Five stars for hands-free! Streaming from apps is crystal clear as well – with the caveat that the Bluetooth range requires the phone to be very much nearby – and this is a hearing device with limited bass – NOT earbud quality, but far less distorted than my old Jabras. The downside of these units is that the Bluetooth hardware is poorly done. I’m an electrical design engineer and I know something about Bluetooth and RF design. I suspect it’s the antenna. The reliable range of the Bluetooth is well under 2 meters. The audio will often start having dropouts with the phone in my back pocket. To use it for hands free or streaming the phone needs to be in a front pocket or better still on the table in front of you. If the antenna design were a bit more refined – I would give these 5 stars…

Title: Clearer Conferences
Review: These JVC OTC Bluetooth hearing aids are impressive and boost voices and other sounds in the vicinity. The app tweaks sound to fit my ears perfectly. They’re comfy for all-day wear, recharging for 52 hours, and so discreet no one notices. FDA-cleared, they feel legit.I don’t need them for everyday wear but attend a lot of meetings and conferences where I prefer to sit in the back of the room. Sometimes it makes it difficult to hear and these hearing aids have been an ideal solution. They seem relatively pricey but it’s not your grandpa’s hearing aid technology from the old days and aren’t simple amplifiers. These are more precision tuned instruments with higher level technology and customization capabilities.

Title: I felt like these just amplified the surrounding area, rather than just isolated voices
Review: I’m sure OTC aids like this are all setup similar. I’m just not used to everything being just amplified. This includes everyone and anything around you. So definitely depending on your hearing level this may actually be a good option. But if you’re only missing lower tones then this just blasts everything up. I know I’ve had other hearing aids like this but I didn’t expect to hear them this badly from my perspective. They fit fine, their even semi comfortable. But they are a niche product that only exists for those who need it to functionally turn up the volume. I have to say, regular buds online for music have better results for me so this does not function like the more expensive models. Hell, even those cheap China knock off buds look better than this and probably just about do the same quality of volume. Totally not worth the money it’s listed at. It’s probably worth it if I take the time and check with an audiologist. Maybe there could be a tweak that would or could make these better.

Title: Best Hearing Aids I’ve Ever Used
Review: These JVC hearing aids with the Tuned app are incredible. Setup was fast, the app let me test my hearing and adjust everything myself, and the sound quality is excellent. They’re super comfortable, discreet, and easy to control from my phone. I’ve never had hearing aids this effective and user-friendly. Highly recommend!

Title: Super easy to use and really comfortable
Review: These were soooo surprisingly easy to set up. Pretty much ready to go right out of the box with just a little help from the app to get things just right. They fit securely and are very comfortable even for long wear. The sound quality is excellent and I love that they can stream Bluetooth audio and phone calls. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time and the case is nice. Overall, totally impressed.
