Title: Great product! Super easy to set up with the Tuned App which customized the product to my hearing.
Review: I am very, very happy with these JVC hearing aids! In fact, I am going to buy another set for a family member. The product automatically customizes the hearing aids to be optimized for my specific hearing deficiency through the Tuned App. Getting the product up an running only took me about 10 minutes. The set up process provides videos that make the set up very easy because you can just follow along each step. Super quick onboarding, in fact I set them up and immediately wore them out to a restaurant and I was so pleased with how well I could hear. I didn’t experience any feedback and the sound quality is excellent. One very cool feature is that the app itself gives you a hearing assessment when you are setting the hearing aids up so they are optimized for the specific tonal range where I was having trouble – I really love that feature. Most importantly the hearing aids are very comfortable and are very discreet behind the ear. My husband tells me that he really can’t even see them. I am fairly self conscious about having to need hearing aids and so it’s nice to know that the design is very discreet. I strongly recommend this product. It’s so nice to be able to hear what’s going on around me so clearly! It’s a whole new world.

Title: Excellet on price for performance
Review: I’ve been wearing prescription hearing aids for eight years. It broke and I needed a new paire. I found that it costs $3,500 for the same types today. I didn’t want to spend that much for a tiny divice on a used car price so I started to look for OTC. I wanted battery type because I didn’t how long built-in battery type last. I also like controllable feature by cellphone apps. Overall I’m satified this one.

Title: Not worthy of JVC
Review: I have been a fan of JVC for decades, so I though these would be of the same quality as I have come to expect. I have had these just past the return window and have recently discovered several problems. The Bluetooth is sporadic and will not connect more often than it does. The ear cones work their way out and you lose the amplification several times a day and get squeal. The microphone is placed so you can hear what is behind you, but not in front of you so it is difficult to determine where the source of the noise is coming from and hear conversations. I live in Alaska and have only worn them occasionally until I went of a cruise and found out how poorly they worked when used all day.

Title: Outstanding Value
Review: I received my JVC Self-Fitting Hearing Aids on Thursday. These are, by far, the best hearing aids I have ever owned. They were delivered on time and arrived in perfect condition. The packaging was simple and strong. The instructions were easy to use the set-up on my iPhone was flawless. I love the “Tuned” software. It was easy to load on my phone and the ability to change the volume and move to four different programs makes these Hearing Aids a “5-Star” value. I already recommended them to a neighbor who is having a hearing test next week!

Title: Just OK
Review: As a hearing aid owner for the past 18 years or so I’ve owned Life Ear, Unitron, Resound and these. For OTC units these perform OK. The price is mid-range between junk and crazy pricey. The so called built in AI assistant obviously is NOT AI or anything close to AI. Just an old school assistant that can not “solve” anything. It merely points you in another direction. For the price, the overall performance is OK (just ok). It has 4 preset choices and a nifty little 3 Band equalizer. The major draw back IMHO is the fact that there are NO sources for replacement parts EVEN AT THE JVC “store”. Seems like JVC is the tired old shell of the powerhouse it was in the 70s and this is a product that followed them to this point. Good luck trying to find alternative tubing choices that would better fit your needs. You get what came with the purchase 5 Left (size 2B) and 5 Right (size 2B). A limited collections of domes BUT only 2 Tulip domes. Search high and low and you will NOT find JVC replacement parts. Dishin out another $500 to get parts doesn’t sound like an attractive proposition. These will serve my needs as a lay over until my insurance kicks in for a pair of high end aids. Till then they’re OK (just ok) and I’ll suffer thru the squealing since the tubing is the wrong size. (not ok)

Title: Affordable OTC hearing aids with stellar performance…
Review: Watched a you tube review of these JVC units and following a Costco hearing test, I decided to give them a shot. I balked at the $1600 price tag at Costco for Phillps or Jabra labeled devices. So glad I did as these give me everything those units provide except phone answering and music streaming. The Tuned app held my hand through the whole setup process and even allowed me to add an audiogram based on results of my Costco hearing test. Have not touched the volume buttons on the aids at all, as the tuned app gives you control including volume and modes everyday, meeting, music and noisy environments. I’m very pleased.

Title: Much better after a couple of discoveries
Review: These work well except for the reason I purchased them which is to hear my wife better. Couple this with them going thru batteries after about 6 hours use and needing to change after that, I unfortunately can’t recommend. I wish I had sent them back in the return period but kept hoping things would improve if I experimented with the settings enough.Edited. After experimenting I discovered that the battery compartment needs to be fully opened. Once I did this battery life was as advertised. Also, in the settings I discovered that using the Music program dramatically helped in hearing my wife’s voice therefore I changed the rating to 4 stars.

Title: This is more of a notification regarding the power source.
Review: We bought these for my 95 year old Mother-In-Law and realized they require replaceable batteries, #312 I believe. Her dexterity is poor so we had to get her Aids with rechargeable batteries. We never opened these when we realized that. I am 68 years old and just spent $1600 on CostCo Jabra Hearing Aids. My Costco Aid sound really tinny, like an AM Radio with a 1″ Speaker. I would have likely kept these JVC Aids for myself if hadn’t bought CostCo Aids. Pretty neat the JVC Hearing Aids can be tuned yourself.
