Title: Versatility on the go.
Review: The item was pretty good. Super simple to use, small and convenient, connected to my phone okay. The only thing that I kinda didn’t like was that if. I was some what close to a TV it would show incorrect readings. If your are just planning to check a EKG or heart rythm on the go this one is good. Though the fact that you have to pay another 76 dollars a year to see Pvcs afib and vtac is crazy to me though it would have been included. Honestly if you already have a cardiologist just stick with them and schedule a appointment unless your already having Pvcs and afib I would get it and if not just save your money. Anyways that my review and personal opinion if it works out better for you that’s great. 👍

Title: Easy Setup and Works Great!
Review: This was very easy to setup, worked as advertised and quickly. We’ve used an Apple Watch with similar capabilities but found those would disconnect or restart and wanted something with this dedicated purpose instead. Really small and easy to keep in an area where you can use it frequently. I’m a fan!

Title: Good product, bad battery door
Review: Using it for my dog. A little sanitizer gel makes it work well.But VERY frustrating battery door! Not bad to pop off. But putting it back on is almost impossible. You can consult their video, where the person effortlessly presses it back into place, but that’s not at all possible. My tip: put the small tab in, then try to press the other side in. While pressing that side hard, take a small screwdriver and press each of the two tabs that stick out.

Title: Easy but I always miss my palpitations
Review: Easy to figure out and works pretty well. My biggest complaint is that I can’t capture my palpitations because by the time I get my phone, open the ap, and record my ekg, the event has passed. But it is at least helping me to record how frequently and when I am feeling the palpitations to share with my doctor. Even if I haven’t successfully captured an event yet.

Title: NOT A MEDICAL GRADE EKG !!
Review: This is a great product for diagnosing cardiac rhythm problems, but this device is marketed as a “Medical Grade EKG”, WHICH IT EMPHATICALLY IS NOT!. I am a Board Certified Emergency Physician of 46 years practice experience, and have read literally thousands of EKG’s over the years in the Emergency Department. An EKG is twelve separate electical views of the heart, and is used as a standard part of Cardiac / Chest Pain evaluation in the Emergency Department. This device is a single limb lead and is quite useful for determining two things, RATE & RHYTHM. It cannot diagnose Coronary Heart Disease based upon the fact that it is a single lead rhythm strip. An EKG is twelve separate electrical views of the heart, not one. I wish to emphasize that this device will assist in the diagnosis of rhythm abnormalities, BUT IS NOT A MEDICAL GRADE EKG – WHICH IS EMPHATICALLY FALSE ADVERTISING!! Kardia Mobile can determine only the RATE & RHYTHM of the heart, but cannot substitute for a 12 lead EKG performed by a physician in an office or hospital setting. RATE refers to the number of beats per minute. RHYTHM refers to evaluation of the conduction system of the heart, e.g. Sinus Rhythm, First, Second, and Third Degree AV Block, Atrial Fibrillation, and Atrial and Ventricular Premature Beats. With the exception of Sinus Rhythm, these are conduction abnormalites of the heart. This is where Kardia Mobile really shines. Often patients only experience rhythm problems intermittently, and the Kardia Mobile device allows one to perform a Rhythm Strip duing the time frame when symptoms are occuring, such as when patients complain that their heart beat is irregular, or skipping beats. It is a wonderful device for diagnosing Rhythm Abnormalites, but is not useful in the setting of Chest Pain evaluation and determining the presence or absence of Coronary Artery Disease. It is a hugh mistake to think this little device is a “Medical Grade EKG” in the setting of evaluating Chest Pain. It cannot diagnosis a heart attack or Cardiac Ischemia when a patient is experience Chest Pain. To think of this device as a Medical Grade EKG is going to get someone hurt or potentially dead if they rely on this device in place of a Chest Pain Evaluation in the hospital where we take into account history, risk factors, Serial EKGs, Chest X-ray, Laboratory Testing and medical interventions such as Nitroglycering or Thombolysis when someone is having a heart attack. Kardia Mobile needs to change their marketing to reflect that this device is only useful for diagnosis of Rhythm Abnormalites and in determinging the Rate of the heart beat. It has no place in the evaluation of Chest Pain. Marketing this device as “A MEDICAL GRADE EKG” IS FALSE ADVERTISING and could well result in someone getting hurt as a result of the FALSE ADVERTISING. Kardia Mobile is only useful for determine the RATE & RHYTHM of the heartbeat and is not to be used in the setting of Chest Pain evaluation. Review: Das Gerät funktioniert auf Anhieb mit meinem Iphone 6S und Android Nexus 7 2013. Die Installation der App über den jeweiligen Store hat auf Anhieb funktioniert. Da Kardia über das Mikrofon des Smartphones/Tablets hochfrequente Töne empfängt, ist auch keine weitere Verbindung notwendig. Einfach neben Iphone legen und “EKG Aufzeichnen” drücken. Dabei wird gleichzeitig die HF genau angezeigt. Die durchschnittliche HF während der 30 Sekunden EKG Messung wird ebenfalls ermittelt. In der Messkurve ist dann das gemesse EKG genau zu sehen. Die App fragt dann ob es die eigene Messung war oder ein “Gast” gemessen wurde. Bei der eigenen Messung geht das Ergebnis in den Cloudspeicher und in die Chronik. Somit sind alle vorhergehenden Messungen verfügbar. Egal ob man eigene Messungen oder andere Leute gemessen hat, ist der Email Versand als pdf super einfach. Aus der Kontaktliste seiner Kontakte im Iphone nur auswählen, senden drücken und schon geht die EKG email mit angehängter pdf Kurve zum Empfänger, egal wo der sich befindet.Zusätzlich kann man auch noch Ruhepuls, Gewicht, Medikation, Aktivität und Gefühlslage von Hand eingeben. Die Bedienung ist somit super einfach. Bei allen Leuten, bei denen ich das Gerät getestet habe, hat es auf Anhieb funktioniert und gute Ergebnisse gebracht. Alle haben gestaunt vorallem wenn sie weniger Sekunden später die Messung am Computer sehen konnten. Auf einem großen Computerbildschirm sieht man natürlich mehr als auf dem Iphone.Aufgefallen ist mir, dass bei etwas feuchten Fingern die Trendkurve noch genauer wird. Wenn man warme, feuche Hände hat sieht das Signal super genau aus. Bei trockenen Händen kann es Artifakte geben. Deshalb feuchte ich meine Finger leicht an vorher.Die automatische Auswertung erlaubt nur das Erkennen von Möglichen Vorhofflimmern. Hier kann man mit der Apple Watch und dem anderen Gerät noch mehr erreichen.Nachteilig ist das nur bis 100 Herzfrequenz gemessen werden kann. Ich habe das Gerät im Fitnessstudio getestet und musste immer warten bis meine HF unter 100 gefallen war. Somit kann eine stärkere Belastung beim Sport nicht erfasst werden.Trotzdem gebe ich 5 Sterne weil das ganze System sehr innovativ ist und sicher noch optimiert wird. Wir stehen mit solchen Technologien noch am Anfang und Maschine Learning Algorithmen, welche auch hier verwendet werden sind sehr innovativ.Kann das Gerät für alle Leute empfehlen, die regelmäßig eine Routinekontrolle machen wollen. Wer richtig herzkrank ist sollte sich lieber in ärztiche Behandlung begeben aber wer erstmal EKG Kurven regelmäßig monitoren möchte, ähnlich wie Blutdruckmessgeräte, ist hier richtig.
