Review: Oh my god, I don’t think I’ve experienced such a rollercoaster of emotions in a series as much as this one, and I absolutely loved it!! This series has my heart!As Shannon and Johnny’s story continues, darkness still tries to find a way to destroy what good they have. We see bits and pieces into the stories of Joey, Aofie, Gibsie, Claire, Hughie, and Lizzie, and we finally get to see the personalities of Shannon’s brothers peak through.The beginning of this book broke me into pieces, on the floor crying, on the bed crying, to PIECES! I stayed up hours until 5 am to keep reading this book and ended up passing out a couple of times in the process. I don’t know how to talk about such a long and heart-wrenching book, but I do know that the character development and the plot were spot on. I saw so much growth in Shannon and how strong she is for dealing with all the pain her family and bullies have caused her. I’m so proud of Johnny as well, for following his dreams and following his heart with Shannon. They both saved each other when they needed it, and I loved that about them. I also loved Johnny’s parents because of how kind and considerate they are towards Shannon and her family. There’s something happens in the book that changes everyone, for the good I honestly believe. I think it’s important to recognize that grief is like a new beginning. It’s a chance to learn more about yourself and although there is pain involved, there is always light in the darkness. The fact that these characters have such a strong bond with each other is beautiful, and I would love to have something like that.I wanted to point out that I really enjoyed the nostalgic feel to the book and how the characters aren’t distracted by their phones and social media like we are today. They’re able to act like teenagers and have fun and just be themselves. The found family aspect of this series is one of the most beautiful I’ve read. I love the banter between friends and family! I love how Johnny and Shannon continued to choose each other through hell and back! God I loved the ending of the book and I’m so dang excited to read Joey’s story. I hope he’s able to heal in his books!Overall, this series is becoming one of my favorite series and it is definitely a 5 star read 100%!! Please read the boys of tommen series!!

Title: An Emotional Rollercoaster That Breaks You, Heals You, and Makes You Laugh Out Loud
Review: Wow. Where do I even begin? Keeping 13 is packed with so much emotion and intensity that I’m still trying to catch my breath. It picks up right where Binding 13 left off and continues the heartbreak, healing, and high-stakes drama.When I started this series, I thought it was YA, and technically, it is, age-wise. But Shannon and Johnny often feel much older than their years. That said, I loved these two. Their connection was so raw and real, I could feel their emotions bleeding off the page. Their bond grew naturally, and it made me believe every word.The heartbreaking moments in this book had my heart in my throat. I kept asking myself, How are these kids possibly going to make it through this? Then Edel and John entered the scene, two characters who felt like a warm hug wrapped in kindness. They brought a depth of love and healing that hit just as hard as the pain, and honestly, their presence moved me to tears in the best way. Their role is easily one of the most powerful highlights of the entire series.There’s a scene in here that had me cackling, absolutely losing it. It was over-the-top hilarious, and the friendships throughout the story kept a smile on my face. The friend group helped anchor the story in the YA realm. They acted their age, had realistic dynamics, and brought a lot of heart and levity when things got heavy.Honestly, there’s so much happening in this book that I couldn’t even begin to cover it all, and I don’t want to. You just need to read it. But read Binding 13 first, or you’ll be completely lost.Now, the one drawback for me: some of the dialogue went on… and on. I found myself skimming many conversations that felt unnecessarily long. The book could’ve easily lost a chunk of pages and still been just as powerful. I hate skimming, but in this case, it felt necessary to make it through.As for continuing the series? I’m undecided. Right now, I’m only really invested in Shannon, Johnny, and her little brothers. I think I’ll take a break with some lighter reads and revisit this world when I’m ready.All that said, Chloe Walsh’s writing is beautiful. She doesn’t just write scenes, she makes you feel them and transports you right into the story. She shattered my heart in these two books and then gently pieced it back together with warmth, laughter, and love.I absolutely recommend both Binding 13 and Keeping 13. Prepare your heart and your triggers, you’re going to feel everything.

Review: So Jonny and Shannon continue their story in this 2nd book.Wow! What a story so far. This series covers issues that only Chloe can explain in words, she makes it gripping, explosive, heart wrenching but very compassionate. I don’t want to give anything away yet I want to tell you how brilliant this book is!! I will also say that there are so many brilliant secondary characters in this series and you just know that they have their own story to tell to and I can’t wait. Although this book is based on Jonny and Shannon there is one other particular character that is totally awesone!!! Gibsy, oh my life he is absolutely hilarious, I need his story next because I just know it’s going to be amazing. The one liners, his whole sense of humour, we all know someone like him but for Chloe to throw him in the mix is just genius!! Talk about laugh and cry. Brilliant writing. I know there’s more to come and I can’t wait. X

Easy. With amazing characters.Johnny and Shannon of course are cute, caring, have a beautiful relationship and are perfect.BUT, let’s talk about the others :- Gibsie, first. Oh how I love Gibsie ! He’s the best, made me laugh so hard, made me ship his relationship with Claire as much as the main couple, simply made me crazy about him.- Claire, Lizzie, Huguie, the whole group of friends is perfect.- Mammy K 😍😍😍 !
