Title: Awesome
Review: I’ve had my kindle scribe for about a year now and it functions beautifully. The pen that comes with it allows me to write notes, draw, or play games on the kindle. The capacity of this kindle scribe also allows me to buy ebooks and download them as I see fit, holding a lot of them. The books also download rather quickly especially if on wifi connection. The only thing I would change about it is the cover that it comes with, but that’s my own preference. Otherwise, it’s a good a good device that does what I need it to do.

Title: Scribe is Worth Every Penny!
Review: I justified the expense (which is rather high!) of this because I ended up with a BAD case of COVID and struggled to remember anything. My work and home life were suffering and I needed to write everything down – and papers were getting lost, messy, confusing. I SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS THING!!!!Not only did it save me while I recovered, it has been so wonderful! I absolutely LOVE the variety of notebooks from which to choose. I love that I’m not having paper notes all over the place. I love that it has the night glow or option to reverse that to black background with white writing. I love how easy it is to write, erase (I love this!), move stuff around. I love that I can have folders for work, personal, and for my creative pursuits. I’m writing a children’s book and the storyboard notebook has thrilled me and I love that you can choose between pens/pencils/markers/highlighter. I seriously love the Kindle Scribe!!!I consider myself “technologically challenged”. So that it was so easy to figure out (after I watched some videos (before I even bought it)) was another plus. I also loved that my Kindle account from my old Kindle “magically” appeared in my new Scribe when I first turned it on. 🙂 I love that I can email my notes or creations to myself or someone else. This thing is amazing and I’ve not even used all of the features! The only thing I found to be useless is the “spreadsheet” notebook that’s supposedly a calendar. I write small. People have complained about how small I write. Yet not small enough to make use of any of the calendar/dayplanner notebook templates. That being said, I will agree that the cover leaves a lot to be desired. I do love that it has the pen holder that is more secure than the magnet. I also love that my Scribe automatically turns on when you simply open the cover. I seriously hate that it’s open on the sides so zero protection from dirt or water in travel or in the car or backpack. I don’t find the way it’s supposed to fold to read at an angle very useful, it falls. It secures the Scribe in with nothing more than a magnet and I’ve flipped the Scribe out of it (onto the floor) twice!!!For a bundle review, I have such a collection of USB plugs now and so many options to charge without one that I had no value in that. It was the best deal in Amazon at the time, though, so no regrets.

Title: So far I love it
Review: I’ve read several books on my Kindle scribe so far. What really sets this one apart from my old Kindle is the fact that this is backlit so I can read it in bed at night with the light off. The back light on this can be adjusted to different brightness levels. The screen on this is much bigger than my old Kindle so I like that a lot. Another great feature is the fact that I can flip pages by just touching the corner of the screen. There are no mechanical buttons on this.As far as the ability to write notes on this, it’s fantastic! There are different templates, built-in such as a list template, a blank template and several others. You can just select a template and then start writing on it. The pen is incredibly reactive. It feels like I’m writing on paper. So far, I’ve had no problems with the battery dying. I think I’ve only charged it once since I got it. Considering I’ve read a couple books that’s pretty good. I have hundreds of books in my Kindle library and this thing was so easy to set up. They walk you through the set up and it could not be any easier. The only way to make it easier if someone else did it for you. Ha ha.I purchased a cover for mine and when I close the cover the unit goes to sleep. Once I open the cover, the unit wakes up again. Very simple. And when it comes on, it’s open to the page I closed it on.It’s very pricey, but I shouldn’t have to buy another one for years to come. I still have my old one from about eight years ago and it works just fine. They do have a trade-in feature, but mine was only worth five dollars because it’s so old so I’m just gonna keep the old one. I like having two kindles. One for home and one for traveling. If you have the money to upgrade, I definitely recommend this Kindle. It’s quite an investment, but it will be around for many many years.

Title: Update: I now understand who the product is for! And I’v decided to keep it!
Review: In my first review, I was surprised at what the Kindle scribe could not do. Now having used it for a week, I understand who is for, and I’m happy with that. So my original rating was a 3, then downgraded to a 2. Now it’s a 4. Why the change? I live on an island, and we just experienced and was without power. My Kindle Scribe worked wonders – long battery life and a large, readable screen, even in no light. So this Kindle is for the dedicated reader, who doesn’t need distractions, and who take notes as well. It is not for media consumption. That said, the web browser worked better than expected for me. When you open the browser up, there’s the caveat that it is only of limited capacity. I was expecting no pictures. Although in black and white, I was surprised to see pictures, and could read my local paper with pictures embracing the story. So while I would have liked it to have speakers, and immersive reading, my Kindle Scribe has grown on me, now that I understand who it was targeted for. If you want a media consumption device, I suggest that you get a tablet. The Scribe is a reading and note-taking device. Thanks for the offer to return it, Amazon, but I think I’ll keep it!
