Title: Great, Reasonably Priced Option.
Review: With an injured foot and doctor’s orders to keep my weight off of it, it quickly became clear that I should get a knee roller or scooter of some kind so I could get around the house without doing further damage to myself. As I won’t need it for more than a month, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on one. My first step was to research my options. I found that one concern people had with EVERY kind of scooter, was being thrown off when encountering an obstacle like a stone on the path or uneven pavement. Forewarned is definitely forearmed. Just go slow. After looking at a variety of rollers, I settled on this KneeRover Economy Scooter, with which I am highly pleased. I received it five days ago, but waited until I needed to use it for a reasonably long “walk” outdoors. Yesterday’s visit to the doctor was the ideal test for outdoor use. I had to navigate uneven pavement to get to my car, and once we arrived at the office, a ridiculously long, poorly designed handicap walkway through the suite of offices to get to the access ramp leading up into my doctor’s office. After that, I had to make my way down a vinyl-tiled aisle to get to reception and the room where my foot splint was re-wrapped. Did all of that safely and comfortably (well, as comfortably as temperatures over 100 and high humidity allow). As a bonus, the med techs re-wrapping me said my foot was perfectly positioned for them to do their work, so I didn’t even need to get off of the scooter. Returning home meant going down the ramp and walkway I’d had to go up before, And finally back over the uneven walkway from my car to my house. The key, whether on carpet, tile, pavement or asphalt, is to go slow and steady while being ready to engage the breaks at any moment, more of an issue for me outside rather than inside, where I barely need to use them on my carpeted floors. The brakes respond instantly, which is excellent. I also partially engaged the brakes to slow progress if the roll down hill was picking up more speed than I wanted, which allowed me to navigate the ramps safely. You can sit sideways on the scooter if needed, provided you lock the brakes to keep it stable. The break locking and releasing mechanisms are easy to work. Assembly was quick, though I suggest you read the instructions over once or twice before getting to work. The product is sturdy and well-made. At 20 or so lbs, the scooter is light enough to lift up and reposition, if needed when remounting. The knee pad is comfortable enough for short jaunts, though for longer ones, you might want to buy a knee pad cover. While this scooter doesn’t have a carry basket, that isn’t an issue for a woman with a deep purse she can hang off the handle bars. Any sort of handled bag would work just as well. Pay attention to the safety instructions and, for long-term use, the maintenance instructions. All in all I highly recommend this product.

Title: Outstanding mobility life-saver
Review: Amazing. I never thought I’d be excited about a piece of medical equipment but this is a game changer. Crutches are awful. With the Rover I can carry a few things, go quicker around the house, and my underarms aren’t burning from crutches. I’m far more stable on the scooter than I was on crutches too. This is a well made product from all I can tell. Nice paint, simple to fold and expand, and the brakes really work. Order the Rover basket and a cup holder and you’ll be in far better shape than you would be with crutches.

Review: Excellent product that is portable and easy to assemble/break-down and allows for increased mobility and helps to reduce fatigue when doing tasks. So glad I was able to get this for my foot surgery recovery.Highly recommend the additional pad that Knee Rover sells to help cushion your leg for extended errands.

Title: Heavy Duty – Great Buy
Review: I have been using this knee scooter for 4 weeks. It is a great product. It was easy to assemble and it has a nice fit and finish. It is also easy to adjust. It has been getting me around the house for a month while I recover from a broken ankle. I’m about 170 pounds and I’m sure this thing could take a lot more weight and work well. Here are a couple of reasons I did not give it 5 stars. 1.) The wheels are solid rubber and l’m sure they will last a long time. However if you don’t release the brakes you may leave a mark on the floor (tile or wood). If you turn too fast…lol… you may leave a mark on the floor. This is making my wife not happy. 2.) The brakes. At first I wondered why you need brakes. You Do. But sometimes they aren’t easy to apply and sometimes you think you released them but you didn’t. Other that than the only thing I really needed was a basket which I made from a reusable shopping bag. This is a good product.

Title: He thought I was crazy till he tried it !
Review: Game changer. If you have a below the knee injury – throw away the crutches. This gave my husband so much freedom to move around in and out of the house.1) easy to assemble. Comes packaged and mostly put together. you have 3 areas to apply a some type of connector. The knee seat – insert to your height and insert D-ring to hold. – Easy The Handle bar – pre-assembled with the brakes. Turn the wheels so the “back” lable is facing the back of the scooter. insert to appropriate height. Instert set screw – easy finger tightening – no tools. Then the clip – this took a bit more “thought” but easy. I went to flip this in and thought – no way will this clip in.. I then realized I could adjust this by turning – it is a screw to adjust the level to clip in the front adjustment for the handle bar. Easy2) It took my husband all of 30 seconds to get comfortable and trust it. I did buy the extra memory foam seat cushion. He was able to us it as a steady handle to get out our patio door – which has a small 3-4″ lip. He rolls up to the door and opens the door. Stands on his non injured foot to balance and places the scooter on the other side of the door. Stables it, grabs the break handle and then places the injured leg onto the scooter and off he goes. We did this similar action with larger steps. NOT that I recommend this. We have 2 steps getting in and out to of the garage. He is able to “hop” carefully down one step then he can grab the scooter and reapply himself. Use care and common sense here.3) such a value for the money ! my husband is to be totally off his foot for 2 weeks healing from achillies surgery. I hate crutches – I think in some cases do more damage than good. this is a game changer and is worth the money.Note – this does not have a basket. I did not want a basket – I thought my husband would hate it .. he thought I was crazy getting this till he got it and loved it. And he then says.. it could use a basket or a shelf.. I laughed – so if they are going to be cooped up for a bit – a basket would be helpful for them to carry things around as both hands are needed to be stable and drive around.
