Title: Just what I needed!
Review: Having had foot surgery, I needed a mobility aid that was easier to use than crutches! This little knee scooter has been great! Very sturdy, and works very well on my smooth laminate floors. I just need to slow down and take the thresholds slower as it can get tipsy if you hit it unevenly or too hard! Just use common precautions….don’t turn too sharp, or take corners too fast! The turn radius is a little wide, but I just lift the front with my arms and move it sideways if I want to make a sharper turn than it is allowing. I’ve also become adept at backing and maneuvering to turn! It has enabled me to move freely through the house, work in the kitchen, and just generally get around! I love having the basket, as it is so handy! However, it also restricts getting close to cupboards etc when approaching head on, so just park parallel to cupboard and straddle sideways. I’ve only been outside once (winter here and lot of snow and ice), but had no trouble in parking lot….but as others have said…take it slow and watch closely for uneven pavement! No problem with brakes …actually haven’t used them, as I just use my foot to push off and stop! Maybe if you are outside and on an incline, you would use it. I agonized over which scooter to pick, as they all had good and bad reviews. I didn’t go with the cheapest or the most expensive….and I am happy with this one. It will work well for the 10 weeks or so that I will need it. My husband put it together very quickly and easily. I am 65, active and steady on my feet; had no trouble learning to use it. Buying was cheaper than renting, and now if anyone on the family should need to use one, they can borrow this one!

Title: My “GET AROUND” machine
Review: This was purchased prior to extensive foot surgery. The doc prescribed a “Knee Walker” specifically as I have at least 6 weeks of having absolutely no weight bearing on my foot. With wheel chairs and crutches it’s too easy to forget yourself and put your foot down, so it was a choice of Knee Walker or bed for six weeks. Duh! We checked out the local rental place and my husband was not impressed with the flimsy little outfits that he saw or the hefty rental price tag! He figured there had to be something better out there. Amazon to the rescue! It didn’t take him long to decide that what we were looking for was the KneeRover. Panic set in when the first one we ordered went MIA, but Amazon came through with an overnight shipment of a replacement to get one here in time for my surgery! Thank you Amazon! In the online listing the Knee Rover had looked sturdy. When we opened the box we found it to be all that and more! It is very well made, sturdy, stable, and cute to boot! Set up was straight forward and easily accomplished. One point of difference from what is stated in the ad though is that it does not have a disc brake. Rather it’s a drum and band mechanism. This is probably the weak link in the KneeRover. It works well, but we anticipate it to be more of a wear item than a disc break would be. However, it is a foot powered scooter after all and you can easily control the speed and breaking with your push foot. I find myself just using the brake lock (parking brake) when I’m really reaching, twisting or bending a lot and forgetting about it for general use. Some reviewers have found the knee rest uncomfortable, but that must be a matter of opinion. I find it plenty comfy, even when I pull up along side the stove or cabinets so I can get closer to my work. I just turn my body sideways and have my knee cross wise on the knee rest. That side-saddle position might not be recommended, but it works for me! I realize common sense isn’t a flower that grows in everybody’s garden, but just use your head and be reasonable. The basket on the front is an absolute necessity. Without it you have no way of safely toting anything from Point A to anywhere else. You need your hands on the handlebars to avoid any surprises, especially around throw rugs, carpeting edges, uneven pavement, pets… If you don’t have your hands where they belong – on the handlebars – those surprises might be unpleasant. You will have nobody to blame but yourself. This is a mobility tool. It is not a padded cage designed to protect you from yourself.Navigation is easy. In tight quarters you’ll find yourself using the alphabet turns (K turns, Y turns, W turns…). You get creative with the close quarters turns! Or you can skip the alphabet and simply pick up one end or the other and pivot it to the desired position. Any kid who has spent time on a scooter knows what I’m talking about! When the going is good and you have any room to navigate at all, I’ll out distance a two footed human walker without breaking a sweat! If you are going to be doing a lot outside or on uneven ground, you might want to opt for the all terrain model with the bigger 12 inch bicycle type tires. This knee walker is absolutely great! For me, it more than paid for itself in the first day after surgery. Being a person with an independent, free spirited nature, It helps me maintain my sanity! With the KneeRover there is little that I can’t do independently. I can get in and out of the tub or the bed (set the brake for added security). My husband doesn’t have to worry that I’ll get hurt doing things I’m dead set on doing for myself. The KneeRover is easy to transport. It sits upright in our van or truck and the handlebars fold easily so it will even fit into most car trunks. This is especially important as it means I’m not confined to the house. A word of warning here. When you get seated on a comfortable chair somewhere, the kid seems to come out in those around you! It’s so cute that everybody wants to take it for a spin!As you can probably tell, I really, really like my KneeRover! In spite of a bunged up foot, KneeRover allows me to go ahead and live my life!

Title: Wonderful Scooter!
Review: My scooter arrived on time & was very well packaged. This is the highest quality scooter available, in my opinion, and the price is very reasonable. If you compare renting to purchasing one, you’ll see what I mean. I had foot surgery & cannot put any weight on my foot at all for 6-8 weeks. This is so much better than crutches. I purchased a cover for the knee cushion for extra padding. I had to put a bit more padding under the cover as my knee was killing me after a few days. That problem went away after a couple of weeks. The turning radius is tight, but I’m sure that is for safety reasons. I either go back & forth until I can turn or pick up the front end & turn. No big deal. The hand grips are really nice. They are 2 tone, gray & black and extremely comfortable. My scooter is a Kelly green. The brakes work extremely well & the brakes are completely enclosed, which I love & whichcontributes to the high quality of the scooter. The wheels are hard plastic & the wheel hubs are also completely enclosed. Nice! This scooter rides smoothly on sidewalks, streets, driveways, laminate flooring & Persian style area rugs & bathroom rugs. I do not have carpeting in my house, but Idon’t think that would be a problem. I have not had any problems when driving over the cracks in the sidewalks or streets, but I do take it slow &easy. The only issue with surfaces is sidewalks made out of bricks or decorative stones. I have to ride over these surfaces VERY slowly tomaintain control. I also have to be careful on inclines so I don’t get going too fast. Another nice thing about this scooter is I always have a place tosit if I get too tired. I have seen a few other scooters at my doctor’s office and I have to say, I am proud of mine as it is much higher quality than anyof those other ones. If you need a scooter and/or are considering one over crutches, get this one. You’ll be very happy, as I am.steep inclines & flooring in stores to keep from going too fast. This is a piece of medical equipment meant to assist a disabled individual. It’s not a toy. I HIGHLY recommend this scooter to anyone needing such a device. It folds easily for storage. If your doctor recommends a knee scooter you might ask him/her if they can assist you in selling it to another patient once you no longer need it. You may want to keep it though, as you never know when you, a family member, or friend might need one. It was very easy to assemble and came with easy to follow directions.

Review: I fell down the stairs & broke 3 bones !living alone & trying to get around was very difficult & exhausting! I borrowed crutches but lost my balance & fell backwards & broke my tail bone of all things a few days after I broke my foot !So Im not able to walk for quite a while so, ordered this little rover & soooo glad I did & wish I had it sooner!so happy with this purchase… it’s worth it!It arrived quickly, glides smoothly & easily , is well made & easy to assemble (minimal assembly with just a few pins & attaching the handles, seat & basket) the seat is soft & easy on the knees , It has a break & break lockI found It also goes over low pile area rugs easily, It is narrow so fits into / around most places, but is also very sturdyI feel very secure & safe using it!Just watch out for your “good foot toes” when backing it upIt helps me get around , carry stuff in my basket & be Moblie to do the most basic tasks at home etc…it’s great!!! Thankyou

Review: I recently spent 6 weeks in an AirCast with a foot fracture. I ordered this (and an iWalk crutch) so I could maximize my mobility and use of my hands during that time. It arrived very well packaged and was easy to assemble. It is very high quality and very sturdy. Good height adjustments on the knee pad and handle bars to customize to your body. The basket is very useful! I was able to zoom around the house, go on longer walks and shopping. Works best on smooth flat surfaces.

Review: This is great for getting around if you can’t put weight on one of your legs for a long period of time. I was using my crutches for the first couple days which were brutal so I switched to this and what a difference. It maneuvers great it tight spaces and if you need to lift it to turn it, it’s light enough so not a problem. The basket is a must so you can carry things from place to place with ease. It has nice sized wheels that roll over things nicely and seems fairly durable. The only thing I would say it could improve on is having dual brakes, in place of the single brake, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Highly recommend!
