Krispy Kreme Just Dropped 5 Brand-New Doughnuts and ‘We’ll Take the Lot’

As Professor Dumbledore famously said, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on…the Hot Light.” Well, Krispy Kreme added that last part, but you get the idea. And, as a lover of lemon sherbet candy and other sweets, we’re confident Albus would approve of the doughnut chain’s latest collaboration. We’re completely bewitched ourselves.

Wands (and credit cards) at the ready, Harry Potter fans. Krispy Kreme is about to release five brand-new doughnuts and a new latte—and Honeydukes has nothing on these first-of-its-kind creations.

Even more magical: There’s a way to score a free doughnut.

The New Harry Potter: Houses of Hogwarts x Krispy Kreme Collection

Starting Aug. 18, Krispy Kreme, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, will release a brand-new menu of magical treats inspired by the iconic Hogwarts Houses. The Harry Potter: Houses of Hogwarts x Krispy Kreme Collection will feature four new Kreme-filled doughnuts—each decorated in signature house colors and featuring unique toppings and each house crest:

• Gryffindor Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with cookie butter-flavored Kreme and topped with red icing, Biscoff cookie crumble, and golden icing drizzles
• Slytherin Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut topped with chocolate and green buttercreme swirls and a chocolate cookie sugar blend 
• Hufflepuff Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with brown butter toffee-flavored custard and topped with yellow icing, a chocolate drizzle, and cookie crunch
• Ravenclaw Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in blueberry-flavored icing and topped with sprinkles

If we were awarding the House Cup based on flavors, 100 points to Hufflepuff because that brown butter toffee custard sounds incredible.

And for the ultimate magical pairing, Krispy Kreme is also releasing a new Golden Snitch Latte featuring a caramel toffee-inspired flavor topped with whipped cream, Biscoff cookie crumble, and a sprinkle of golden shimmer sugar. That flavor profile sounds like Butterbeer coffee if you ask us.

Even the doughnut boxes, which are sold by the dozen, are extra enchanting with a Hogwarts design and exterior reminiscent of those vintage steamer trunks each student takes aboard the Hogwarts Express. And if you can’t make it to a Krispy Kreme location, select grocery stores and retailers will also sell six-count boxes of the new collection. There’s one more trick for this collab. In addition to the four Hogwarts House doughnuts, a fifth Sorting Hat doughnut is available with a delicious surprise. The yeast doughnut features an adorable Sorting Hat decoration and contains one of four mystery-colored Kreme fillings representing each Hogwarts House, so fans can experience a less traditional but extremely tasty sorting ceremony. (Honestly, biting into a doughnut to get sorted sounds much more appealing than putting on a communal hat shared by dozens of 11-year-olds.)

The new Harry Potter: Houses of Hogwarts x Krispy Kreme Collection will only be available for a limited time. To sweeten the news, Krispy Kreme is giving away Original Glazed doughnuts on Aug. 23. All you have to do is rep your favorite Hogwarts House at participating Krispy Kreme locations to score a free Original Glazed doughnut with a limit of one per person.
