Review: I purchased for a friend who is in a dementia unit. He said at hours like 6 or 7 it’s dark so he never knows if it is am or pm. This watch is perfect. However the band is small and I had to find another.

Review: So far so good. Easy to use for seniors, visually impaired or dementia patients and the nightly automatic time adjustment will keep the watch accurate without intervention.My picky father-in-law likes it, but we will need to get him the larger (2 link larger) wrist band the company sells as an accessory. The only pitfall may be if he washes his hands with it on or does dishes and submerges it. The speaker is on the back and I’m pretty sure that the watch is NOT waterproof.The watch uses a common coin battery and should last a year according to the company.

Review: It came with a dead battery and was not working correctly.After removing the back, one or two of the screws that hold on the back were stripped. That was fun.After replacing the battery, it does seem to work okay. It talks kinda loud, but in a pretty mechanical, scary voice.Would I recommend this product? Definitely not.

Title: Some clarity issues with watch
Review: We purchased this digital watch for my elderly father who has mild-moderate dementia because he was unable to consistently tell time on an analog watch. One issue with this watch is that if the wearer isn’t viewing the display directly head on, the clarity is reduced, making the numbers hard to read (see photos). And being that he has dementia, he gets confused about what the display shows and doesn’t always remember to look head on. (I understand that most users won’t have such cognitive issues, but the reduced clarity is a problem regardless.) Also, the audio quality for those who use the talking feature is also compromised. I have good hearing and the speaking voice is not crisp sounding and I could see some individual having difficulty understanding the audio.

Review: My 91 year old mother would be lost without this watch! Her eyesight and hearing aren’t great, but she uses the talking function a lot when she wakes up in the night and it is plenty loud for her to hear. She’s had the watch for over a year and we haven’t had to do a thing to it except for adjusting the time when the clocks go forward/back.
