Title: Good glass magnifier
Review: It’s a little heavy, but that’s what you get for a glass lens of this size and thickness. Nice, clear view for most all uses. Optical diameter (or aperture) is about 96.8mm or 3-13/16ths inches (nominal 4″). Big enough for both eyes to get a look at a 1-1/2-inch-wide object with magnifier held about 4-5″ above it…for stereoscopic viewing. Handle is comfortable and construction seems sturdy with hard, tough plastic frame and rubber edge all the way around (it might even survive abuse by a 2-year-old…but don’t do it–glass!). Is it 10x magnification? I don’t know how to measure that. I’d say it makes things appear about 2x larger. Whatever it is, it sure helps make smaller things easily visible for my 58-year-old eyes. I’m happy with it. It does its job. I can clearly read fine print. Color fringe (chromatic aberration) hardly noticeable, only at the edges of view. Definitely the clarity of a glass lens, not like plastic.There’s no built-in light. It’s just a magnifying glass.

Review: Works like a magnifier should, only cons I have is found its a little on the large size, but that’s on me, as it does give its size, and the lack of a simple hole in the handle so it can be hung, rather stored on desk, making it easier to find to this messy desk-top user, quite durable and well build, well satisfied with the product!

Review: This is good for my occasional use. A good-size larger lens made of glass. A relatively sharp and undistorted image compared to similar-cost magnifying glasses I have had before. I like the plastic frame construction as it is less likely than metal to scratch other items. I find it a bit heavy — no problem for my occasional use but if I were using it constantly, like for a hobby or work, I might want to look for something lighter or for something I didn’t have to hold.
