Title: Yes, It Looks a Bit Ridiculous—But It Works
Review: Okay, I fully admit this thing looks a little goofy when it’s around your neck, but when you’re trying to read microscopic font on an instruction manual or prescription bottle, you stop caring real quick. The magnification is actually really good—definitely better than most cheap readers or handheld magnifiers I’ve tried. It’s lightweight (surprisingly so), and the gooseneck is flexible enough that you can angle it just where you need it without constantly fiddling.I use it mostly when I’m assembling things or trying to decipher directions written in font sizes made for ants. It’s also great if you’re doing needlework or tiny hobby stuff, and don’t want to constantly squint or take your glasses on and off.Bonus: you can wear it, stand it up, or just hold it. And if you know someone with aging eyes who still likes their crosswords, models, or DIY repairs, this would actually make a solid gift. I’ve officially added this to my “not cute, but highly useful” drawer.

Title: Neck brace is the best part
Review: Despite looking silly, the neck holder actually works, for what it is. And, it is not uncomfortable. However, the magnification screen has an inconsistent surface and I spend way too much time moving a book around to be at the right depth and also at the best center of focus.

Title: Limited usage
Review: So, I was a little uncertain about this but thought I would give it a shot. The neck holder far exceeds my expectations. It is lightweight, easily moldable, sturdy and holds its shape. It is comfortable to wear and easily adaptable to hand or stand usage. I just wish they had put as much effort into the magnification portion, which is, of course, the most important part. Using cheap acrylic may be lighter and less breakable, but it also makes it very difficult to see. As others have mentioned, it only seems to be clear in the middle circle and then it spirals to various magnification levels making it so that that you must continually move the object you are attempting to see to the center, defeating the purpose. Cannot recommend if you are trying to use this to read.

Title: Bueno el lente.

Title: Nice medium-sized magnifier helps so much with details
Review: I’m getting old and find it harder and harder to read small print and work with tiny parts. I just started sewing, and it’s difficult to thread, change needles, and keep a straight line when I’m sewing. I bought some 3.00 reader glasses, and they help, but they don’t magnify. I also work with small parts occasionally, soldering electrical connections.I bought this magnifying glass, thinking it would be a great solution. I just received it a couple of hours ago. I usually use a product for some time before reviewing it, but I am so pleased with it that I made an exception, and I’m reviewing it right away. This is a medium-sized Fresnel lens that magnifies a lot, up to 500%, according to the description. The viewing field is a good balance between a small size and a wide field of view. I love how adjustable it is, just using it with the gooseneck around my neck. The gooseneck is very comfortable. I can adjust it anywhere between a few inches and a foot from my eyes, with just as good optics. The further away from the lens you hold what you’re looking at, the more magnification there is. It does get distorted when you magnify by about 200% to 300%. There is a bit of distortion at the edges, but it seems like less than other Fresnel lenses I’ve had. I never remember which way Fresnel lenses are supposed to face, but this one seems to work better when the smooth side faces away, partly because it defracts light reflections, and also the distortion seems less.I also like the flexibility of being able to use the gooseneck as a stand on a table, or popping off the lens from the gooseneck and hand-holding it. The magnet connection to the gooseneck gives me confidence that it’s securely connected, and it’s easy to insert and remove. I don’t expect my opinion about it to change over months and years of usage, since it seems very sturdy, if handled properly. There’s a lens cleaning cloth that comes with it, and it came in a secure box within the Amazon packaging, so there was no shipping damage. I’m a happy sewer!
