Title: Makes Reading So Much Easier
Review: I got this magnifying glass with light for my parents, and I honestly wish I had bought it sooner. Reading small print has been getting tougher for them, and this has made a huge difference. The 5X full-page magnification means they don’t have to constantly move it around, and the LED lights with different brightness modes are perfect for reading at night or in dim lighting.My dad has been using it to look through old letters and family documents, and my mom loves it for her crossword puzzles and recipes. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and folds up neatly when not in use. Even I’ve grabbed it a few times when dealing with tiny labels on electronics or instructions with ridiculously small text. Title: Awesome product!
Review: I bought this magnifying glass for my mother who has glaucoma and is losing her vision. When I opened up the box everything that it was supposed to come with was in there including a nifty cloth to clean the screen, and instructions. You will need three AAA batteries, easy to install. The light is a great feature! She likes how the handle is moveable too. Great buy!

Title: Good but not perfect for books
Review: It’s well designed and I agree with others on its weight, size, weight, etc. But using it to read books isn’t as easy or convenient as I hoped. Keeping it in focus isn’t always easy because books are not flat. The image is not nearly as sharp and clear as it could be, probably because the lens is a Fresnel lens. In my case, it’s not clearly a lot better than trying to read standard book fonts without it. It just print appear larger and easier to read, but at the cost of some clarity, and moving it requires refocusing.

Title: Important tool
Review: This really helps my husband read the newspaper. He has glaucoma and wears glasses but still cant see much. The light lights it up a magnifies, not just one line but several so he can enjoy reading again. Also helpful for me on extremely small print on documents and prescriptions.

Review: It does not give a huge amount of magnification, but just enough for my husband. He’s had eye surgery and needs just a little bit of a larger print with his iPad. It fits over his iPad perfectly. He is very happy with the results.

Title: Description not quite as described…
Review: It’s okay, but this is not quite as described. The lens material is not glass. It’s some kind of acrylic material. It’s a type of fresnel lens, that you can see the grooves as you read a book. It also catches every dust particle in the grooves.The light does work really well for night reading. It would work far better on flat objects, however books have a slight curve, so you do need to move it a little as you read to adjust the clarity.I am not sure how long the batteries work, as I just got it. I do prefer the 2nd setting.Overall, I give it 3 stars. I will keep it mostly for two reasons.1. Returns are a challenge in my rural area.2. I use my kindle more often than actual books. I intend to use this mostly for library books, so it’s not a total waste.

Title: Trouble!
Review: This magnifier was purchased in July, it is now January. It has been used occasionally but needed new batteries (3 AAA batteries). The screen light was fading and inconsistent on the highest power, which is what I use for my low vision. After replacing the batteries correctly smoke and the electrical scent came out of the battery compartment. I replaced these batteries with new batteries to no avail. The magnifier is no longer working. This is very disappointing! Since this was the first time to replace batteries since purchase, I am giving this magnifier 1 star for poor quality. It worked. . . . until it didn’t!

And from the presentation, got the impression that it is made in the USA; it’s not, it is Chinese. Given that, the “discounted price” is not really so. Review: This is a great product, exactly as advertised. For my elderly mother, who loves it. Easy to hold (light) and very bright light and terrific 5x magnification. 3 small AAA batteries hidden in the handle. 3 types of light intensity.My only critisicm (making it 4 stars instead of 5 stars) is the price. Many companies in China are making this great product and some other sides have it for 25% or 50% cheaper. So shop around for the best price, but the product itself is GREAT.
