Title: They Work!
Review: These hearing aids are definitely worth the price. I have moderate hearing loss and couldn’t hear the grandchildren, constantly asking people to repeat what they said. My husband chose the audiologist route and paid thousands for his. My hearing aids do the JOB, without the high expense.

Title: Disappointing from Bose
Review: The following information is needed to understand why I rated this product as I did.My husband has moderate hearing loss. We thought we would give these hearing aids a try in order to make hearing more comfortable for him. He currently has Beltone hearing aids from an audiologist and he also has very inexpensive amplifiers we got online that we used to make these comparisons.Upon opening the Lexie product, it looked very informative and had extra parts and accessories. They are very small, slim, and similar in build to the Beltone hearing aids acquired thru an audiologist office. There is an app you need to download to set these hearing aids (Beltone hearing aids have an app as well). Once we downloaded the app, we set his hearing aids to be as comfortable as possible. It took several tries but it ends up he needs the volume to be up at 100% and he still is having difficulty. I really had to keep adjusting these with the app because they would squeal easily. Because he needed the volume maxed, I had to drop the treble and increase the bass to keep them from squealing horribly. The fact that these have “BOSE” name on them really shocked me that the volume topped out at such a low level. With his other two hearing aid sets (even the cheap one) he can leave the volume on the TV at 20. However, with this Lexie hearing aid set he needs the volume at 30 and he also keeps asking me “What?” when I speak to him because he just can’t hear me. That’s a huge disappointing difference.I understand his Beltone hearing aids are very expensive, but even his really cheap amplifiers are producing better sound for him. I do not have a hearing issue and I put these on to help my husband set them up and they weren’t very loud. So from a normal hearing person, these are not great for moderate loss, they just aren’t loud enough. It seems these hearing aids were made to mimic the expensive hearing aids such as Beltone, but they have suffered in producing enough sound volume. The unusual part is that they were made using Bose technology and great sound quality with clear and natural sound is great, but not if you can’t hear it. Accessories and apps are nice too but if the volume power is not enough for a moderate hearing loss, then they really are useless. These hearing aids might be better fit for someone with mild hearing loss, but definitely not enough for someone with moderate loss, even though it’s suggested use is for mild to moderate hearing loss.

Title: Do not purchase
Review: Please do not buy. These do not work. They squeak very loud, and the Bluetooth drops out all of the time.

Title: Best OTC hearing aids I’ve found so far
Review: These are exceptionally great hearing aids. I’ve tried many types of hearing aids throughout the years and these are hands down the best ones. I have moderate hearing loss, and no insurance so these were a good choice for me.You do have to pair these with your phone and use an app, but the app is easy to work with. It gives you a test when first setting them up so it can recommend settings to better fit your individual hearing test results. You can later adjust this as you need and also set up specific environments such as outdoors, noisy indoors, riding in the car or whatever you need. There are some preset ones, but you can even customize those. The app is great, and makes it easy to set up. Also it gives you a lot of information on setting them up for the first time – which for me would have been invaluable when I got my first pair. Also, they check in on you to make sure everything is going alright. There’s also a points program that I don’t really understand, but if you read their helpful tips and info, it gives you points, not sure what the points are for though. It comes with a rechargeable case, and a charge lasts a really long time. I usually recharge mine once a week, but I only use them when I’m not at home because that’s generally when i need them. Also, when I do wear them it’s usually for several hours at a time and i find these don’t irritate my ears as much as some of them. It also comes with a bunch of different ear cone tips so you get the right fit.The devices themselves are very lightweight and I often forget that I even have them in. Most people can’t even see them either, but I have long hair, so may be different for others. The ear wire is nearly invisible on me as well. It also comes with some cleaning brushes and tablets that’s used to dry them out. I am glad that it came with all of that, saves me from having to get any for a while.I will have to say that the price is a little expensive for being OTC hearing aids, but it’s really hard to find this quality of OTC ones. I will also add that I’m not a fan of the bluetooth or streaming on this, but have seen much worse with other products. It is kind of mechanical sounding, not the best quality, but it will do. I usually take these off for listening to my music via bluetooth and use something else, but for phone calls it works fine.

Title: Best for mild hearing loss
Review: These hearing aids come with some impressive branding and features—Bose-powered sound, a sleek design, and an app-based setup. But for nearly $1,000, the performance left me underwhelmed. The volume doesn’t go high enough to be useful for moderate hearing loss, and even after customizing settings in the app, they just didn’t deliver the clarity I expected.Comfort and convenience are there—they’re lightweight, come with a wireless charging case, and the app is user-friendly. But they squeal easily and often struggled in real-world environments, like watching TV or holding conversations. They’re probably a better fit for someone with very mild hearing issues, but if you’re expecting a real alternative to audiologist-fitted hearing aids, this isn’t it. Unfortunately, our seniors are left paying too much either way—for devices that don’t perform or those that are out of reach entirely. I would think I’d rather spend a little more money up front for something that has less issues and is backed by a warranty. For the price, I’m not sure that it’s a good value.
