Title: Excellent light for night reading or low ambient light
Review: I bought this with the M-Edge Executive Kindle Jacket, Black (Fits 6″ Display, Latest Generation Kindle). It fits securely into the slot designed for it. It adjusts easily in multiple positions, and it’s easy to get it positioned so that the screen is illuminated but with no glare or excess reflection. (Some people report trouble positioning the light arm, but I had no difficulties with it — there may be some lemons out there.) It also fits perfectly in the spine of the jacket/case when folded away and the cover closed. It has three brightness levels. Even in a totally dark room, I can read with it set at the second level. When I loaned my Kindle to my mother, she used the light to provide additional illumination and improve the apparent contrast on the Kindle’s screen (she has some vision problems and found that without the light, there wasn’t sufficient contrast between the grayish background and the text).I have read late at night, and I find the light’s “blinking” feature really helpful to remind me that I shouldn’t read too much longer! After an hour, the light blinks a few times, and then if you don’t tap it, the light turns itself off. It also saves on the battery if you forget to turn it off or if it is turned on accidentally. Someone in another review claimed that the battery only lasts her an hour in this light. I have only used the light for six or seven hours so far, but it doesn’t seem that the battery is in any danger of dying soon, and I’m just using a generic alkaline battery in it. I think she/he may have mistaken the battery-saving feature (where it blinks and then shuts itself off) for the battery dying.Someone mentioned that the light is too easy to turn on accidentally, but I’ve only done that once. I can see how someone could have that happen, though, depending on how they hold the case when they’re reading. I noticed immediately that I’d turned it on and then turned it off. The tap button is very sensitive, but I find that a positive feature.I am glad I decide to buy this light & the case that it goes with. I was hesitant because of the additional cost on top of the Kindle, but it was worth it.

Title: Used for bedtime reading, 3 years, still working great
Review: The base of this light fits neatly between my kindle and it’s cover, stays secure, and provides perfect light for bedtime reading without being too bright to bother my wife. 3 brightness settings, I find the middle one to work best for me. I use a single rechargeable AAA battery, and it lasts for about 3-4 weeks reading every night before I change the battery. A non-rechargeable AAA lasts about twice as long. It is so lightweight I barely notice it is there. I have had it for over 3 years, still working perfectly, is flexible to point light wherever I want it. I hope it never dies on me, but if it does, I can only hope the same model is still available. For me this is a perfect nighttime reading light.

Title: I like it.
Review: I had the original M-Edge book light for my Latest Gen. Kindle M-Edge cover for about a year and liked it a lot. The only problem was that it pivoted in the middle of the battery compartment so you had to pull it out of the cover past the spine to rotate it. That’s been solved with this model. This one pivots at the base of the battery compartment which I find much much more convenient. The intensity of the light on medium and high is the same as the two settings on the older model, which is more than enough light for me to read comfortably with in bed or on the plane and the lens does a pretty good job focusing the light on the Kindle screen. I also like the touch control on this model better than the older one. The older model had a slide switch with the “off” position in the middle. I always found it a little inconvenient since you couldn’t just slide it to a stop to turn it off. The touch feature is much nicer. Some reviewers have complained that they touch the controller and change the setting accidentally but I haven’t had that problem at all. I usually use it on the medium setting and the single AAA battery lasts a very long time. I read almost every night and it’s weeks between battery changes. The only feature I find a little annoying is that after about an hour it begins flashing on and off. I suppose this is to warn you to turn it off so you don’t deplete the battery. However if I fall asleep I wouldn’t notice it and if I’m awake I’m using it and it’s an annoyance so what’s the point? That said, this is the best of three different book lights I’ve owned and I highly recommend it.

Title: You need this light
Review: I have the M-Edge Capital case for my Kindle 3, and this booklight is just what the doctor ordered. It’s a perfect fit, and it works great packaged alongside the Kindle when the case is closed. If you are reading in utter darkness, the low setting accomplishes the job fine. But I often use the medium setting as a matter of personal preference. The emitted light covers the whole screen with no problem. If you rotate the arm approx. 45 degrees above the Kindle, and aim the light down, there is no washout, and covers all the way to the bottom. The battery cover was a bit tricky to remove, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy. The light takes one AAA battery, and I’ve replaced it once after reading 5 complete long-winded books.A well, thought-out design matched with a very bright light, will keep your wife/husband happy while you read on your side of the bed. I don’t know how I’ve read so long without one.Enjoy!

Review: I bought this along with my new M-edge Go! cover and it’s great!I love the touch button which you use to cycle through the three light settings. The light given off is bright but not too cold or harsh, just right. The flex arm is a little shorter than the original M-edge white book light and is not as maneuverable as I expected but it works well all the same and casts a good light across the Kindle screen. I think it’s good that you can use this light with normal books too.It does not come with a battery so make sure you have some – AAA size. To be fair, it does state this in the description but I missed it.Overall, I would highly recommend this light!

Review: This slots perfectly into the protective cover I have on my kindle. It has 3 levels of light to choose from. I can happily read with it on the lowest setting and the higher settings are great to use as a mini torch if you go away somewhere and need a light in the night! The batteries (2 x AAA) last a long time. It’s adjustable to almost any position. I have to adjust mine to stop glare coming back off the screen but it takes seconds. The light folds down neatly at the side and I had no problems taking it on flights abroad and using it on holiday.I’m happy to recommend this light to anyone that has a partner that goes to sleep while you read. The light level is so low overall it does not disturb anyone else and focuses the light directly onto the Kindle screen.

Review: Had to replace my cover that had an integrated light for my kindle 3 – searched Amazon and this book light seemed to be the best one – I liked the size and appearance. Ordered it with the recommended cover as the ‘paper clip’ slots into the cover so only the arm of the light is visible. Have used it and would say it’s functional and does the job but it’ll take time to get used to as it does not fold away out of sight like my original light did but it is good value for money & the brightness of the light has 3 settings which most other book lights dont.

Review: I often read in bed and have bought a couple of other lights to use to read my Kindle with but have always had problems illuminating the paper fully. I had contemplated buying a Kindle Paperwhite (which my wife has) but then saw this at half price and thought I would give it a try. I have used this light for a few weeks now and found it to be the best light yet. It is very adjustable and it is easy to get the angle right so that all the page is illuminated. The 3 different light settings mean that I often use the light in slightly dark daytime environments as well. The only problem I have found (as mentioned by other users) is that it is easy to switch the light on unintentionally draining the battery, but this is something I am able to live with because it is so much better than any other light tried previously.

Review: Although I am fully aware this is made for the kindle, it also states that it can be used with books (also states on the little leaflet manual). This is completely untrue, and in no way can be used with normal books.
