Title: Great for Fly Tying!
Review: These are great for fly tying. The flip up is a great feature because I always know where my cheaters are instead of searching on my messy tying desk. These come in TWO sizes. I know because I was sent the smaller size first. The beauty of oversized lenses is that the thumb doesn’t have to search for it to flip up. Although a bit heavy, the lenses do stay in place in the up position when not needed. The 4+ diopter is about 2X magnification and about 10-12″ focus.

Title: Does the job
Review: Sure does the job. You have to get pretty close and the lenses are rather heavy making your glasses slide down your nose, but for occasional close work leaving hands free from holding a magnifier, they are great.

Title: Broke immediately when trying to flip lens.
Review: Had them less than five minutes. I opened them, tried to flip up one lens and it broke off. I got them to help me see since I just lost most of my vision. Thank goodness for friends then help you on computers!

Title: Convenient Sewing Tool.
Review: I bought them to enable me to see dark fabrics, small stitches when I hand-sew reenactment renfaire clothing. Lately I had noticed that it was getting harder to see dark fabrics such as black or dark blue, and as I was striving to emulate the fine stitching of days past-I needed some slip-on lenses to help my aging eyes. These slip-ons are exactly what I needed. They were carefully packaged, and ar-rived in their own black case. They offer exactly the right “extra oomph” to aid hand sewers’ sight. Plus they fit right into my sewing box, an added convenience. Coupled with a head lamp, these lenses are just right for fine sewing, close de-tails. Definitely a reasonably priced addition to one’s sewing kit.

Title: disappointed
Review: These are a disappointment. We were so excited to get these for my Dad who has macular degeneration. Sadly, my Dad reports they function the same as a magnifying glass -which we all know you put close to the object you want to magnify, not up by your eyes.
