Title: PERFECT SMALL MAG GLASS FOR MY NEEDS
Review: The main complaint in reviews for this magnifier was its size, being very small. This was what I needed. We have a refrigerator out in out garage we use for extra items. I sometimes need to read the “use by” dates of the spare items. The manufacturers seem to love to have the size of these dates as small as possible. Being a “senior”, I find it difficult to read these. I was tired of lugging the large magnifying glass (yes, they are small enough that even using reading glasses didn’t help, due to the contrast) to read the dates. This glass was perfect. I put a small split ring thru the hole and hung it on a small magnetic hook on the fridge door. Now it’s right where I need it. The small price was a bargain for the added convenience of having this right where I need it. The glass was clear and the magnified image was just right. The build was nice and sturdy, had some decent heft to it. So what others didn’t like was perfect for me.

Review: These are very small, I thought they would be bigger. It makes it heavy ended, which I would think would be tiring for younger hands. I read all the details, but still thought they would be bigger. The magnification is great.

Title: Not 10x, but decent quality
Review: This magnifying glass does NOT have 10x magnification — beware. I tested it against magnifiers of known strength, and it is either 3x or 4x at most. So, if you want a 10x magnifying glass, don’t get this one, as the description is knowingly inaccurate. Even so, having said that, it’s not a terrible magnifying glass, and it IS made out of actual glass and not cheap plastic, so it’s decent enough quality if you want a less-strong 3x or 4x magnifying glass. The price is definitely reasonable, too. The box shows it’s intended for use by children; but if you want a serious high-quality high-magnification product, you’re going to have to spend extra.
