I bought it thinking it would be something simple to help me see details better while sewing, and it ended up being a marvel at home.The magnifying glass has excellent magnification (it’s quite clear), and the best part is the LED light, which illuminates perfectly, especially when I’m working at night or in low light. I love that it has several light modes because I can adjust it according to my needs.Something I find super practical is that it hangs around your neck, so you have your hands free. It’s ideal for sewing, reading small print, or even checking small items in the kitchen. Title: Big, lightweight, and decent enough optics, but 4 batteries not included
Review: This is a very easy to operate magnifier with a bright light. It has a huge lens made from a non-glass material, so it has great view but you need to be careful about accidentally scratching it, and it will not hold up as well as a glass lens (but the benefit is that it’s much lighter than if it had glass). The handle is solid and non-slip and the light button is large and tactile front to back operation. 8x magnification is good and free of distortion, but the 30x on the other hand is not as usable due to distortion. The Light is very strong and work well for both magnifications. Everything is hard plastic so it’s easy to keep clean. Not as good as my Carson glass magnifiers but a decent choice at this price point, although it really should have included the four required batteries.

Title: Really handy to have around!
Review: This magnifying glass is so helpful! The magnification is strong and the light is bright. The neck band moves very easily so I was able to use it as a stand to thread the needle on my sewing machine! I’ve also worn it around my neck and it’s lightweight and comfortable! I like the fact that it’s rechargeable and has different color temperatures and brightnesses for the light!

Title: Arrived with Scratched Glass.
Review: While this was supposed to be a new glass (not used) the magnifying lens had scratches, mostly around the perimeter but a few in the view field despite having a protective seal on both sides when it arrived. Also, the lens seemed faintly hazy (& yes, I removed the plastic seals & cleaned the lenses before using).The magnification was probably adequate for reading stand size print, but not as much for cross stitching (14-Aida for the x-stitchers). I was constantly having to adjust the glass to focus. Wondering if it was a ‘me’ thing (older eyes w/progressive glasses), I asked my daughter try it with her x-stitching & she had similar issues. When she had me compare this purchase with her magnifier, also an Amazon buy & a similar portable, “hands-free” style (hers had a clamp), my daughter’s magnifier was far superior than this glass & slightly less expensive!Don’t be fooled by the 4+” diameter of this glass either – the magnification exists only in the center field of vision, a 1.5-2″ area.If you’re looking for a crafts magnifier I recommend you keep searching. For light readers, maybe a cross-word puzzle or such might be okay. Just take a picture of the product before removing it from the box – it’s a puzzle in & of itself to get back in its original container should you decide to return it.

Review: A very easy and effective way to see close-up, with nothing to hold! The large lens and flexible, secure holder work perfectly around your neck or standalone on a surface. The color modes add brightness when needed, for even better visibility. A great and thoughtful product!
