Title: Everything thr high priced pair does and so much more – but for so much less!
Review: I have Macular Degeneration. At the current stage of the malady strong reding lasses take care of close up work, but seeing all aspects of images on the Big Screen TV require something else. The visuals ten to fifteen feet away distance requires a simple telescopic lens – one over each eye. After having been analyzed for glasses that would look like what eh surgeons on Grey’s and New Amsterdam wear (that would cost around $2,500.00, I decided to see what Amazon might have available and bought the TV reader glasses by Eschenbach ($189.00). With these glasses on, I found the clarity of the screen image to now be clear, but with a very narrow field-of-vision and the need of readjusting them each time I put them on.With TV’s both upstairs and down, it seemed to make sense to have two pairs of telescopic TV glasses, but two times $189.00 was going to stretch my budget just bit too far…so I looked further and found these glasses that obviously work on the same principal as the Eschenbach’s but at a fraction of the cost. I figured I’d try them and…WOW!These glass work as well as the expensive pair, have a slightly wider clear field-of-vision, hold their adjustment from use to use…and look just a dorky as the high-priced pair! I like these so much that I’ve already ordered second pair – right after I set up a return of the Eschenbach’s.Full discloser though: when these glasses arrived, the adjustment wheel was in the box separate from the glasses themselves. That only required aligning the center plastic shaft up with the receiving hole in the glasses arm and pressing it firmly in-place.Now, no matter how small the print is on the TV screen: I can read it…!

Title: Poor quality optics
Review: These glasses do work, but if you wear regular glasses, you will likely need to remove them in order to wear these telephoto glasses. These glasses have focus adjustments to compensate for your prescription if needed. If your vision is very poor, the focus adjustment might not be able to compensate. The optics of these glasses are about the same one would expect from the prize out of a cereal box. Very poor. You have to tilt your head and move your eyes to get around bad spots. If they would improve the optics, these would be great. I can sit about 10 feet away from the TV and read the fine print on all those drug commercials and read how sick they will make me.

Title: They don’t work
Review: These “glasses “were overly expensive and had zero positive effect. I mean they were useless. They didn’t improve my ability to see the TV at all. As I said These were a very expensive piece of plastic. They were not even a novelty as they had no positive effect. They were a total failure and waste of money and hope. My advice is to go to a optometrist get a prescription and buy glasses. True that is expensive but you can actually see unlike this product.

Title: Much better than the cheaper version
Review: I use these to watch TV in bed. They are especially helpful when I play the PS4 (yes, I am a 50 year-old gamer). Most modern games like use print/fonts that are SOOO small! That may be OK for PC games, but not when the screen is 15 feet away. These glasses magnify the entire TV image just enough so that I can read everything on the screen. They are also much easier to adjust and focus compared with the cheaper versions of this item (although they are still a little challenging to adjust sometimes). The cheap ones have two separate adjustment lenses, but they wobble like crazy making them impossible to focus. These glasses use a single piece for both lenses, making them more stable and rigid, which is essential for keeping the image in focus.

Title: Kids glasses
Review: I bought these for my mother who has macular degeneration and can’t make out the tv from where she sits.It was a joke seeing them when I got them, I put them on and noticed they were for kids, they are way too small to watch tv out of, its like you are watching tv out of pin holes, and adjusting them are a pain you have to move the wheels multiple times back and forth and even after they don’t work everything is blurred out unless you are 2 ft in front of something then they work. But still looking out of pin holes, the design imo needs to be redone and the pin hole vision needs to be fixed to a bigger glass.

Title: Works, but narrow field of vision
Review: This works as adveertised and may be of some use, but the field of vision is very narrow. It does not cover the width of the TV screen that I intended to watch using this binocular. I wanted to be able to read text and subtitles on my TV. That it can do, but I have to turn my head from side to side to catch an entire phrase. I realize a wider field of vision would result in heavier lens and therefore be more uncomfortable, but that would be a good trade-off for me.

Title: Great product- makes a real difference
Review: I purchased these for my 95 year old father. Despite cataract surgery, he has a difficult time watching TV. The glasses arrived today, and he’s thrilled. He finds them to be very effective in improving not just TV viewing, but distance viewing in general. They are comfortable and he had an easy time adjusting the power. He compared the glasses to hands free binoculars. I didn’t have high expectations for this product, but figured that with a relatively reasonable price, it was worth a try. I would highly recommend.
