Title: Fabulous but pricey
Review: Hospital grade O2 oximeter. Many other results besides O2. App is great, can have charts and graphs, download results, create a link for your doctor or print it out. Pricey at $270, but you get what you pay for.

Title: Most reliable and accurate oximeter! It’s $$$ though🫤
Review: I have lung cancer and need oxygen on occasion. I have bought so many oximeters to try and monitor, but when put up against the ones at the doctor’s office they were always off by quite a bit. Also old ones would take FOREVER to figure out my oxygen level. Not something you want to wait on when your struggling to breathe. Between the fast response, and the app to track and explain other values this is a great investment to track my levels. Plus when double checked at the doctor’s office, Massimo is correct everytime. I also love the continuous monitoring aspect. I would highly recommend, but the cost is the only downside. I understand quality cost money, but health equipment like this is hard to find, at least ones that actually work.

Title: Good, with minor quirks
Review: Good device, certainly better than off-the-shelf oxygen meterSensitivity is ok, but I found that it still loses track when blood pressure is low (<60)Software needs some work. When it thinks the data is not very reliable, it sounds alarm. Need a way to lower the volume of that alarm. It is also finicky, e.g. on one hand index finger is not giving reliable data, but on the other it does, and they look the sameYou can set another alarm to trigger when reading (e.g. SPO2) is low. Great, but it does not trigger when the device loses track, which is precisely when the blood pressure/SPO2 is low. AND when you download data, it will NOT show that there was low confidence during that period, just a repeat of last reading, which is misleadingReviewer: D. Coral

Title: More useful than expected
Review: I bought this for my elderly mom while she’s recovering from knee replacement surgery. She LOVES IT and said that it makes her feel more secure to carry this around in her belt pack. This gives her an idea of the “patterns” of 3 of the important vital signs (pulse, oxygen, respiration rate) while she’s resting and during exercise. Then she knows if something is out-of-whack even if she otherwise feels fine. The readings show up a few seconds after clamping it onto the finger and are very consistent. The display shows a cute little bar that jumps with each pulse. The iPhone app is quick & easy to connect with Bluetooth and has a beautiful moving graph that tracks history like a fancy medical monitor. I was able to show her how to use this without even reading any of the manual. A quick tap on the menu button flips the screen 90 degrees (one of four orientations). There is only one product improvement I would suggest if the manufacturer is reading this.. I’d like to be able to use Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA batteries rather than regular alkaline because they last much longer (according to the manual it has to be regular alkaline).I only trust Masimo pulse oximeters for accuracy; the other copycats are inaccurate junk. At first I wasn’t sure if I should spend so much on a small gadget, but looking back at the decision, I am very happy I made the purchase. This is one of my favorite products of the year. Everyone in our family wants to “borrow” it from my mom because we are all curious of our fitness parameters.

Title: Not accurate as claimed, or even at all.
Review: I have central hypo-ventillation syndrome (ondine’s curse) and bought this because I wanted something extremely accurate and medical grade. I already have a Contech CMS 50F and it is very good, but I didn’t feel comfortable wearing it at work. I was also concerned the Contech had some movement artifact and that’s why I needed something more accurate as my condition is extremely rare and the medical community wasn’t taking me seriously. I wore my contech during my in-lab sleep study in Feb. While awake facebooking, the contech had me desatting to 87% and the lab had 85%. While asleep, the contech had me desatting to 75% and the lab recorded 74%. So the Contech is accurate to 1% – 2%. So I was able to have the sleep lab had to amend their report to confirm central apneas and desatting while awake. While at work on 26 April, wearing both the Massimo and the Contech, and working on the computer, I was desatting and fainting. The Contech recorded 85% and the Masimo was only reaching down to 92%-93%. I know you have to go below 88% to faint, so that’s how I know the Masimo is inaccurate and the contech is providing numbers within range. I found the Masimo runs about 3% too high with little ups and downs. When I experience central apneas whether asleep or awake, my O2 sat goes up and down like a yo-yo and varies by 10%-12% in about 1 min cycles, also confirmed by the lab. The masimo levels would only vary by 2%-3%, yet it would show my breathing rate vary from 5 to 25 breaths per minute. As you can see in the attached photos, my breathing rate in the white graph varies widely, yet the graph of my O2 saturation hardly varies. Also, the data will not export after multiple tries. So the reporting capability doesn’t work as advertised either.

Title: Extremely accurate and easy to use, can record data for long periods of time.
Review: After a long period of feeling exhausted all the time, I began to suspect that I was suffering from sleep apnea. This pulse oximeter is not cheap, but it is highly accurate and uses the same advanced technology as hospital-grade monitoring systems. After recording my night-time hypoxia and printing out the data for my doctor, he agreed that I needed a full sleep study. The study confirmed severe sleep apnea, and resulted in effective treatment for my condition. It also gave me peace of mind that the treatment was in fact effective in eliminating my night-time hypoxia. This device is not cheap, but it is worth every penny if you need to monitor your blood oxygen levels.

Review: It took a long time to find this oximeter. I wanted a good one. This one is perfect for me. Works as advertised, shows also breathing rate. Can see everything on the display or on iPhone, using “Masimo Personal Health” app. App works fine. I am very satisfied :)Tried “Masimo Professional Health” app (which is made for Rx model), but it would not connect. So, it is not Rx model, but it looks like all the features are the same. Probably app is the main difference.

Collegamento all’iPhone perfetto e rapido. Professionale. E poi è sempre pronto all’uso grazie a due batterie alcaline aaa. Consigliato.
