Title: Love it
Review: For the price these work really well, Im super def in both my ear one worst then the other, but this gives me confidence in getting out there and being more social as I can hear people very well now. When walking or on the phone you might want to take them out your ear the wind sound will drive you crazy even though there is a volume thing on it, its still annoying. I will eventually invest in some more expensive ones but for now this will do.

Title: Sorry, not workable for me.
Review: So excited to receive these; alas, so sadly disappointed for the following reasons:1: Much too large, very uncomfortable and noticeable.2: Too much background noise (wind, whistle, pin drop, footsteps, everything), which obliterated normal voices and/or TV sound.The main reason to have these was to better hear normal speaking voices and for TV listening in the evening so asnot to irritate other family members with high volume.3: Adjusting placement, volume, etc, didn’t help.Will return for refund.Sorry not for me, mc

Title: Functions Well & Improves Ability to Hear – Sound Quality is OK at Best – Good starting point for First Hearing Device
Review: This was a great “starter” hearing product for my mom who is in the early to moderate stages of hearing impairment. This was a great way to get her accustomed to using what would eventually be full-fledged hearing aids. This warmed her up to the idea and allowed her to see why “real” hearing aids (such as Miracle Ear, etc.) are far more expensive. There are many brands of hearing aids besides Miracle Ear, and the prices and insurance coverage vary widely. This product doesn’t function on the quality level of real hearing aids but does help the person hear things a bit better, just not with the kind of quality found in real hearing aids. Good starter product or alternative for those who don’t have insurance or cannot afford hearing aids.

Title: Worked well, but…
Review: Got these for my mom who is in a nursing home. She has a roommate & they both are in their room a lot during the day watching their separate tvs. They tend to inch up the volume on their sets during the day trying to hear their own tv shows over top of whatever the other person is watching. We thought this was something that could help my mom watch her tv in peace without having to turn the volume up so high. We knew she wouldn’t be a fan of more expensive brands with headphones so the in-ear plugs seemed perfect. Unfortunately, these are not directional in that you can’t just increase the volume for one thing. Everything was amplified instead, including the noises out in the hallway, so this didn’t help her particular situation. However, I’m giving them 4 stars because in a different setting where there isn’t so much background noise to contend with they would work great, especially for the price! I wouldn’t recommend them in noisier settings, though, unless you want EVERYTHING to be louder.

Title: Love them! Reduce risk of Dementia
Review: I am so glad I bought these. I was quite happy at home not wearing my expensive hearing aids because they broke. I live alone and don’t need too hear anyone talk to me. But, then I read an article that not wearing hearing aids when having a hearing loss creates other issues, such as increased risk of Dementia, loosing the ability to understand spoken words and increasing hearing loss. I now wear these around my house to stimulate the part of my brain responsible for hearing. I enjoy hearing the birds outside.However, I want to be very honest, I would never wear these outside as I have very small ears and I look like a Martian in them as they stick out! But they do somehow remain in my ear and are comfortable. I just sent for 30 batteries for when I run out.

Title: Didn’t Work for Me
Review: The reviews on these are excellent, so I purchased them. First thing I noticed is that the cushions shown in the picture didn’t come with my purchase. The amplifiers are easy to assemble (insert included batteries, attach cushion). Unfortunately they don’t work for me; my hearing loss obviously needs something that has a clearer sound than these amplifiers. In my ears, the pieces cause an unbearable high pitched squeaking noise. Turning down the volume makes a sound as if I’m at the bottom of a tin tub. Since I need bi-lateral hearing aids, I’ll just have to purchase a miracle for my ears. The price of these amplifiers wasn’t too bad, so instead of returning them, I’ll keep them in case they can benefit a family member or close friend.

Title: POORLY DESIGNED AND A WASTE OF MONEY
Review: First, the ear amplifiers came in a hard to open plastic case that did not open when I followed directions to “push and pull”. It took a small pen knife to pry the case lid open (Imagine doing that each time you reached for and returned the ear amplifiers.!!) Second, the ear amplifiers have multiple design flaws that affect usability; 1) the raised design for the volume dial is too tiny and not raised enough for arthritic adult finger pads to turn the dial. 2) tiny “antennas” visible on the ear amplifier in the ad intended to make inserting and removing the ear amplifiers from the external ear canal are missing from the pair sent to me. 3) the ear amplifiers are not shaped or sized to fit inside the external ear canal. Rather, only the clear plastic tips of the ear amplifiers fit inside the eternal ear canal. ALL the black portion of the BLACK ear amplifiers (larger than your thumb nail) fill and protrude outside the external ear canal because they are bigger and have contours different than the external ear canal. They look like BIG BLACK BUGS sitting outside your ear. It would be impossible to hold a telephone receiver to your ears while wearing them. Unless you need a pair of black ear plugs to prevent water getting in your ears while showering, these ear amplifiers are a WASTE OF MONEY.
